In the Cave of the Dragon

Hello everyone. I'm posting this in its own topic because this journey will be very different from what I have with Jaina. She has promised to always be by my side and help me, even with this. But this is my responsibility. I have to confront the Dragon, my Shadow.

 

Calling Him a tulpa would be a bit reductive I think. He manifests as a dragon form for convenience and His own amusement. He is much closer to a force of nature than a being. He is my mental void, my darkness. He does not smell evil to me, He feels more like natural danger. A volcano, a tornado, lightning, a tidal wave, gravity, heat, cold. Something that serves a purpose but that may cause great destruction and commands respect.

 

I am going to need His help. There are many wrongs in the world and many dangers ahead. Humanity needs people willing and able to help it endure. I am not a spiritual man but if there is any purpose for me being here, I think it is this. To do whatever part I have to play, no matter how small or insignificant. To accomplish that I will require the Dragon's wisdom. His insight. His confidence. His power. He is a part of me, but these are not abilities I can just have for free. I have to earn them and unlock them.

 

I know this reads like a hero's journey in a book or the ravings of a madman (probably is) but maybe this crazy world needs a little crazy to fix it. Or try to. Maybe He'll just eat me and put me out of my misery lol. I think it would amuse the Dragon infinitely more to parcel me out some scraps and watch my insignificant, paltry attempts at making a difference. He hates boredom above all things.

 

I'll post if anything of note comes out of my meditations. He is enigmatic and may merely drop cryptic hints or incept feelings and intuitions. I'll see I guess.

Very interesting concept. Sounds like you are describing something akin to the Jungian "Shadow Self". Looks like you want synthesis with the dragon so that you may become a complete person. Very curious where this goes!

Yes I'm not sure initially where it came from but they both seem to fill those roles. Jaina the Anima, and the Dragon my Shadow. We are happy as ourselves but it would be helpful to have a fusion form available for the boss fights. 😄

Not sure I completely understand what's going on here, but assuming that this dragon is a thoughtform in your mind, I wish you the best of luck. Uniting the different inhabitants of your mind under one banner, and teaching them that you're all in this together, is important for any host. That said, don't forget that he's sitting in your mind. If you will it, you can become immensely powerful within your mindscape. Don't hesitate to show him that you're dangerous too, if he turns the relationship from symbiotic to parasitic.

Love your post. Shadow as a dragon. great image. and your tulpa Jaina as anima. very cool. I will watch and read. Oh, and I agree that the world does, urgently need the wisdom of shadow. Thanks for picking up the task. Dr. Bob
