Uguubee September 6, 2012 September 6, 2012 A pretty concise and informative guide posted on /sci/ that provides scientific explanation into that experiment to do with the reconstruction of movie footage from memory, which could be applied to eventually constructing images of tulpae.
Bin September 6, 2012 September 6, 2012 I assume that trip was your first time at 4chan and didn't realize images there get deleted in five minutes due to being pushed off of page 15, in addition to not everyone here being able to see the image, and instead seeing the 4chan-leech image. I'll just fix that for you. gaint-ass image Now can someone sum it up for me because it's pretty tl;dr no

I'll just fix that for you. gaint-ass image Now can someone sum it up for me because it's pretty tl;dr Wow. I just went to the research board to post about this and found this thread. Basically it explains how MRI and medical imaging works. The interesting bit however, is about the hemodynamic activity. What they're talking about at the end is basically a process in which scientists can convert raw visual data from the brain and eye pathway into images, as seen in the lower right of the image. The experiment regarding tulpæ goes like this: We set up a host staring at a blank white wall, or other similar environment that lacks stimuli. We then "hook them up" to the necessary machines and equipment that allow this sort of thing, and the host imagines their tulpa in front of the blank wall. Hopefully, with the resulting image, it should show a rough picture of the tulpa in front of the wall, "proving" that what the host sees is there. If nothing were to show up for some rare reason, it could be that tulpæ are processed in a different area of the brain than sight, which would be interesting. tl;dr Only the dedicated will learn Tulpa: Sierra Forcing since July 2012 Couguhl’s Progress Report
Purlox September 6, 2012 September 6, 2012 Good that someone made this into separate thread on Research. But I don't think it will help us much, because the only thing this proves is that you are hallucinating something, but it won't prove that it is visual projection of a mind you created.

That is true. However, it will also reveal information as to how we sense tulpae and where our brains process the sight of them. I'm attaching a crude diagram. Regarding tulpae, any information at all is useful, psychological or physiological, for it is scarce in the first place. Tulpa: Sierra Forcing since July 2012 Couguhl’s Progress Report
