Guest Fillyfooler September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 I've been lurking for awhile now and I'd like to get started working on Nova. I have 40 traits and wrote a paragraph for each one explaining what each trait means and how it's connected to the other traits. The only problem is I'd like to spend about 10 - 15 minutes on each trait but it usually takes about 30 minutes to read through the whole list. So are there any tips or tricks to expand on each trait to make them longer or am I going to have to read each trait over like 10 times? P.S. No wonderland and her form is almost done (just missing feel and smell)
Phi September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Why do you think it has to take 30 minutes per trait? 10-15 is just dandy if that's all it takes you to get a good idea of the trait.
Bin September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 You don't need or want to do any of that, just get a feel for the personality. I wouldn't recommend doing the same to get to know a new friend. You surely must have an idea of what kind of personality you want Nova to have. Use that, the idea. Not the list. no
Phi September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Use that, the idea. Not the list. Generating the list was probably enough. Unless you feel like you need to review it, just go ahead in the process.
konrad13 September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 40 is a tad much... But it is your tulpa, so meh. But there is also no one true and tested method of tulpa creation, so if you feel that you need that massive list, 10-15 minutes is fine. Also, you dont need to list off the traits continually, just until you know them. Me: Hey, say something for this thread! Koharu: Yay, cupcakes! mfw there are no cupcakes. Sentience? Yes. Brilliance? Ehh...
Frosty September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Like the others said, the goal is just to get a feel for your tuppers personality. Once you have a good idea of who they are and who you'll be talking to, you can move on. However you choose to do that is up to you. Guest ThunderClap September 13, 2012 September 13, 2012 The way I did it was focus on about 5-7 traits at a time so I was not cramming a ton in at once. If you're going to do a long list still, I suggest looking into that.
Citizen Anon September 13, 2012 September 13, 2012 Sounds like this might help you out Name: Lyra Form: http://i.imgur.com/JjMxK.jpg Sentience: Emotional responses, occasional brief vocalization Currently doing: Personality & narration
