Aarix September 10, 2012 September 10, 2012 Alright friends, I hath to say I'm proud of my current progress, all together over 17 hours. I would appreciate if you could read further and tell me if theres anything to add to my current tulpaforcing. I've been passive tulpaing (Talking to her throughout the day) mostly and Usually i do 2 half hour sessions but today I'm learning to break habits of internet addcition and up it to 4, which I did today. Heres how I manage all 3 categories. Narration- I talk to her or her concept, she hasn't shown me any signs that I can see, except I get drowsee sitting against my bed where I also tulpaforce. I struggle (and I mean STRUGGLE) to find things to talk to her but eventually feeling come up and I discuss them. Personality- This one isn't as cut and dry, I just talk to her and tell her about herself in 3rd person. I know the traits and I told her so we'll see. Visualization- Heres where Im confused, I know what I want her to be, I know her form but I can't sustain it. I also can't get her in my minds eye in full view. I just picture looking up and down at her while she smiles at me. I imagine im in a white room and shes on a platform above me, am I doing it right? How do maintain form for her to pick up signs on? I know the biggest thing is confiedence but I don't know if i am or not. Its hard to explain, I'm sort of going with the flow and Im scared thats crippling her progress. I know to tell her were in this together. Like "We're gonna tulpaforce you" Based on experience how much longer should this take before I get signs of sediment? Also what, in some detail, should I do with doing the tulpaforcing sessions as oppose to the passive tulpaforcing? Thanks for your time guys. Having a reference can help with visualization a bit; you can look at her picture, then close your eyes and try to hold that image in your mind. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past

I thought of that along time ago, but my drawing is severly crippled, I cant even trace plus no one else will help. I know her face well in my mind, its not exactly real life texture but I don't think it has to be Progress report "You'll have a Tulpa because you didn't give up" -Koomer
Pashoo September 10, 2012 September 10, 2012 >Improper use of the word 'hath' nerdrage This is more or less an optional thing, but I'm pretty sure Chupi does it. Since smell is the sense most associated with memory, you could try using some sent, like a perfume or what, as you tulpaforce, then ween yourself off it, eventually memorizing the smell. This should help you recall things better, and help with the smell portion of imposition. An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.
Chupi September 10, 2012 September 10, 2012 [brace for incoming wall of text] Narration- I talk to her or her concept, she hasn't shown me any signs that I can see, except I get drowsee sitting against my bed where I also tulpaforce. I struggle (and I mean STRUGGLE) to find things to talk to her but eventually feeling come up and I discuss them. She should be showing some signs before too long. Keep watching for them; Bluesleeve's essences thing might help you get a better feel for her personality, which will speed growth in general, and to better listen for her thoughts. (Note: Bluesleeve's guide can be pretty confusing. Most I can really say is do it as best you can figure it out. Here is my tl;dr account of attempting it, although my tulpa was old enough to help me out with it at the time.) As for what to talk about, anything and everything. The fact that you're talking and directing it toward her is more important than what you're actually saying. Talk about your day, what you're doing, random ideas, etc. Narrate your past to her, slowly taking her through all the old memories you can find. Comment to her as you watch movies. Anything. Schlondark's narration guide is helpful here. Personality- This one isn't as cut and dry, I just talk to her and tell her about herself in 3rd person. I know the traits and I told her so we'll see. I'd do it more like you're telling her what she's like -- avoid 3rd person. Think of it like you're talking to a special friend about what you see them as. Ultimately how you do it doesn't really matter, so long as you're getting a feel for her personality, like the feel you have for how a close friend is. Again, Bluesleeve's essence guide may be helpful. You're basically doing it right, you just need practice. I'd drop the platform thing and get a bit more hands-on -- imagining touch and other senses will likely help make sight more vivid. You might also try using the real-world snapshot method or a void for a while to work on visualization skills, before returning to your wonderland. Real-world snapshot is you close your eyes and imagine the what's in front of you IRL, and force there. I did this for a while because I was having trouble keeping my wonderland and tulpa both stable at once. I dislike forcing in a void, but it's helpful for some. (I started in a void because less to visualize; it was hard and after a while my mind auto-generated a static image of a beach behind my tulpa. I later built this into a full wonderland.) I know the biggest thing is confiedence but I don't know if i am or not. Its hard to explain, I'm sort of going with the flow and Im scared thats crippling her progress. I know to tell her were in this together. Like "We're gonna tulpaforce you" Going with the flow is exactly what you should do. If anything, overly structuring it makes it too artificial and doesn't work as well. As for confidence, tell her how well she's doing and how great she's going to be -- after a while the optimism you express to her will rub off on yourself. Try not to always look to the next milestone that's just out of reach. If you're always obsessing about the next goal, you'll make the whole process much less enjoyable. Also this is not a process that has a distinct end after which you have no more goals, just happiness; just like a person, tulpae will continue to grow and change for their entire lives. Sure, have a goal, but take time to appreciate what you've got so far. You'll make both your lives more enjoyable, which will in turn encourage your tulpa to keep working at the next thing. Based on experience how much longer should this take before I get signs of sediment? Also what, in some detail, should I do with doing the tulpaforcing sessions as oppose to the passive tulpaforcing? You're probably not going to see any signs of sediment unless your tulpa is a river. (Sorry, couldn't help it. Stupid autocorrect, etc.) Anyway, assume she's sentient from the beginning. Time until the tulpa makes contact varies wildly, so I can't really give an estimate at all. Some take days, some take weeks. Just be sure you aren't forcing her to hold still out of fear that you might make her move yourself. It's far better to puppet a little on accident than to hold her still. Holding her still will suppress any attempted movement since she's brand new and your mind is far stronger than hers. (Same goes with voice -- fear of parroting can easily result in forcing her silent.) If she moves around, that's her, even if it feels like you're doing it. This guide is very relevant, especially the snippet Phi quoted and responded with 5 giant stars. Same applies to voice, possession, and just about any other action she's just beginning to learn. Early in the process, most of your dedicated forcing time will likely be spent visualizing every last detail and imagining other senses. Still, take some time to just chill with her, make her feel welcome, and show her that you really do want her around. Young tulpae tend to respond well to emotion, so try to send her feelings. Try to make yourself feel various (positive) emotions as strongly as possible while focusing on her. Thinking about memories that evoke those feelings will likely help. Then focus really hard on her and visualize transferring the emotion to her in whatever way feels right. I initially imagined an energy ball or stream moving from me to her; though these days I just send emotions without visualizing anything in particular, just focusing on her and sending them. Yeah, pick a smell early on and get a bunch of it IRL unless you're a wizard and can just imagine smells without practice. I find imagining scent difficult but I'm getting better at it. I don't have any reference drawings since I suck at drawing, and anything drawn by me or anyone else would look significantly different from my (photorealistic) tulpa. Short of working with a skilled painter, I'm stuck with just what's in my head. However she's a human, so I found a handful of pictures (mostly off 4chan) that approximate different features, and labeled them; haven't bothered to shop them together. By now I have a clear picture of her in my head, and trying to use those images would just confuse me, so I don't anymore. My second tulpa is an Eevee, so it's pretty easy to find good reference images. Lyra: human female, ~17 Evan: boy, ~14, was an Eevee Anera: anime-style girl, ~12; Lyra made her My blog :: Time expectations are bad (forcing time targets are good though)
