ThatOneGuy May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 I just got a wonderland created last night. I didn't feel like doing design work, so I just let my subconscious have at it. It ending making a semi-circle mountain range on an island, with the other half covered by lush rolling fields. I plopped a house down right where the fields and the mountains meet. After that I had Clair change the house exactly how she liked it. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Guest Anonymous May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 Here's where I'm basing my wonderland on: Photos I took: http://imgur.com/a/SJcDa#0 Interior of station, not mine: http://www.durhamradionews.com/wp-content/uploads/WARDEN-STATION.jpg Subway: http://farm1.staticflickr.com/4/4097955_b08bfaa462_b.jpg Will take pics of the interior soon.
ThatOneGuy May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 Looks good. I didn't really think of basing mine off of a real world place; it should be interesting to hear about the results. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Guest Anonymous May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 Well it sucks in a way because the grass, which is awesome unto itself, is situated in a way that if I'm in that area people think I've jumped the fence and gotten into the area illegally. The way the system works here is that if you get into the bus waiting areas (the holes in my imgur album that buses enter) you can get on without needing to show you paid for a ride. Some german guy confronted me about this this morning, and somebody asked about it 2 hours ago. Sigh.
ThatOneGuy May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 The grass does look pretty amazing, to be honest. Probably one of the defining features of the area. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Guest Anonymous May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 Yes, it is. They haven't mowed in a while it seems, so if you walk next to the northern tree tons of bugs fly out. It's perhaps the most wild places near me (aside from the ravine near my house, but that isn't as cool) One question, great and powerful TOG: How am I supposed to remember FAQ's personality trait questions? I write down answers to the questions, but it's not like I'm going to be able to remember them all in my wonderland.
ThatOneGuy May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 Instead of doing them all at once, do them in sections that you can easily remember, scaled to how much you can handle. If you do them enough individually or with only a few others, they should stick and eventually you can get the entire list of answers/questions. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
JD1215 May 25, 2012 May 25, 2012 My wonderland started as a small furnished apartment, set in a replica of my hometown in southern California. Eventually I added more locations, including a recreation of Sea World, and an indoor pool in the middle of a desert (the pool is actually inside a mountain cavern, or something like that). More recently during a long bus ride, I explored further through some random forest and added an inn-like building with several empty bedrooms, a grand fireplace, and a fountain outside that we can swim in. I write down answers to the questions, but it's not like I'm going to be able to remember them all in my wonderland. Had this problem as well, peeking out every once in a while when my personality work was sounding something like "Uh... you... are... introverted... and.... this affects.... uhh...." really messed with my focus. I pretty much memorized all of the questions (I ended up leaving out 'Beliefs' because in most cases the trait didn't impact it at all) by like trait 6. I do tons of review even when not forcing so I don't think this messed with my progress at all though. ThatOneGuy May 26, 2012 May 26, 2012 Oh man, so much wonderland progress. Clair's really gone to town recently on the wonderland. Basically, I let her do what she wants for a couple of hours and come back to find the mountain range populated by various fantasy creatures and a large village on the plains that inhabits both humans and ponies. And on top of that Clair made a gigantic sound system inside of the house where she's staying. Sometimes I wonder why I didn't start with a wonderland in the first place.
