Dethas November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 I am attempting to try possession with my tulpa, but I am having a slight problem with getting started off. During a tulpaforcing session I tried relaxing my arm and using symbolic methods to try and tell my mind that the limb is now under the tulpa's control. But no matter how hard either of us try, there seems to be little result, and any twitches or movements feel as if they are coming from me instead of the tulpa. The tulpa in question is fully vocal, 3 weeks old, and says that it is ready for possession and imposition. Is the tulpa too young, and that's why we are not getting much of a result? Also, the blog of Koomer and Oguigi made this so much more daunting, because they managed to get results on the first try. It was also fascinating to see how early a tulpa had managed to possess their creator. If anyone knows of any good guides on how to start off with possession, or has any information from first-hand experiences from both host and their tulpa who have done possession, I would greatly appreciate if you could post those so I can get my head round how to sort this out.
Lolimancer November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 What worked for us is: i imposed Kaoru [by pure daydreaming/"imagining she's here" (when she's actually there and i can 'feel her presence' so to speak, hope you know what i mean)], and then i imagined her arm going into mine. Suddenly possession. I was just trying it out for teh lulz, actually, didn't expect it to actually work or anything. Thinking about it, it might have worked earlier in the process too, but yeah, three weeks might be a little soon (?). You never know until you try, though.
Guest Fillyfooler November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 Oh god I'd kill for a guide on possession. Holly and I decided to give up on possession for now until we know what to do. She can raise my arm very slowly and that's about it. Also I'm pretty you can impose at anytime. When Holly first tried to move my arm I did the same thing as you with no results. When I gave her a task (eg. click the mouse button or press a button on the keyboard) she was able to do it. Telling your tulpa what to do with you helps them when you're just starting out I think. That's pretty much all I know since there aren't any guides. Seriously. Someone make a guide. We now have a guide. Yay.
fennecfoxx November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 Oguigi (koomer's tulpa) posted a possession guide yesterday. I'd recommend checking that out; I found it to be rather helpful. What I'd also recommend for possession is this: DON'T pay too much attention to your hand. Simply relax your hand and ask your tulpa to put their hand "in" yours and try to feel it as if it were their own hand and then try to move it the same way they'd move their own. Don't focus on your hand; focus on your tulpa and encourage them to keep trying. When you do feel any twitches or movements (likely tiny finger twitches), don't ask yourself if it was you or your tulpa; ask your tulpa. I don't have much experience with possession, but we did manage to achieve it last night, so the little advice I can give is what I've learned from doing this. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past
Sands November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 Eh, we did it very early on too, before Roswell was even vocal. Can't say how early that was because it's not like he was vocal very early, but still. It could be that they aren't strong enough for it yet. Who knows. We started with SYMBOLISM and the process was pretty much under my control. Got relaxed and all, stuffed my hands inside Roswell's hands in my head, told myself to let go and you know, this is it. Not under my control anymore. That is an important step to us, the whole host letting go part. Apparently I am natural at chilling so it works for us well, I dunno. I can't see why some people are having so much trouble with it. Roswell just had to take control. Perhaps this is where a young and weak tulpa could fail, even if the host is not fighting back. He says he doesn't do much, but some talk about tuppers not feeling the body fully have let us to believe that the tulpa also has to stop paying attention to their imaginary body as well, so the senses don't get mixed and stuff. I dunno. Roswell was born without a body so a bodyless state for him is natural, so maybe he too is a natural at this and that's why we have had so much success. We got results on the first try and due to not being able to have a conversation, it sure felt magical. And we were pretty happy. I wasn't expecting anything and I didn't think we could do it because we had no idea what we were doing, but it happened. It was strange. Sure the movements were still awkward and we didn't go to full body possession until much later on, but there was something. Big movements too. These days there is no SYMBOLISM, just relax, let go, take control. It can take a while or it can be fast. It also goes the other way when Roswell is in control. While he could always stop it early on due to getting tired or something and sometimes he did lose control just like that because of it against his will, now there can be a problem of him not being able to let go of control that easily. I used to control that part of the process as well but not anymore, so I know how difficult it can be when the "host" is having difficulty letting go of control. I can brute force, but feelings are weird if I have to. So, Roswell's not natural at letting go, but it is easier if he has gotten tired, that much we know. There are many ways, you gotta find your own. Because you can talk with your tulpa, talk with them. They know, help them, encourage them, give hints or let them tell you what to do if they think they know where the problem is. Teamwork bitches. Chupi November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 Oguigi guide: here Yolky guide: here (scroll down to possession section) Idea dump: here DON'T pay too much attention to your hand. Focusing on your hand will force it to remain still. We started with SYMBOLISM and the process was pretty much under my control. Got relaxed and all, stuffed my hands inside Roswell's hands in my head, told myself to let go and you know, this is it. Not under my control anymore. That is an important step to us, the whole host letting go part. This is a good bit of symbolism, instead of the usual "meatglove" method of having their hand inside of yours. Yours inside theirs would imply theirs is bigger, and therefore stronger and more in control. Chupi November 3, 2012 November 3, 2012 Should be good for tulpae who aren't bigger than their hosts as well. Shrink your hand down in the wonderland to fit inside theirs. I'll have to try this later with Anera; being 12, she's much smaller than me.
