Tattletales for Parallel Processing

Reanna: I have an idea that can aid in parallel processing.

 

There's an old game show called Tattletales. Celebrity couples would guess how their spouses would answer a question. They aren't in the same room. If they match, they get points. (If you have the channel Buzzr, you can watch an episode at 8:00PM MDT.)

 

Because the game requires isolation, I think it could aid in parallel processing. The host goes to an isolation booth while the tulpa stays in the main headspace. A third party (a trusted friend or another headmate) asks a question. ("Would the host perfer to live with a dog or a cat?") The tulpa makes a guess. Then, the host returns and is asked the same question. If it matches the tulpa's, the both of them get points. After two questions, they switch places.

 

There are drawbacks to this. There's no way to prevent mind-reading besides the booths. And having an outside party ask questions might require switching. I guess it could work for more advanced parallel processing.

That's actually not a bad exercise! I've also seen a version at wedding receptions where the couple each sits back to back in chairs and questions are asked such as: "Who is the funniest? Who is more organized", and each person will indicate either themself or their spouse by raising that person's shoe in their hand.

I bet you can use a random ice breaker generator to serve as a third party

 

I think trying to respect each other's memory privacy, even when it's not perfect, is important. I'm assuming you'll get better and better as you practice more

There used to be TV show similar where contestants  were seperated by a screen and they had 2 paddles (like wooden ping pong bats) one representing themself and one their partner… the Host would ask the question and the contestants would raise the bat representing either themself or their partner ….so if your Tulpa can take possession of one hand you could do it that way but you would both need to be at the front and as you say mind reading may skew the results.  

 

If another alter or Tulpa could act as a barrier between them to prevent mind-reading you maybe able to do it this way more reliably but would take more advanced skills and would depend on your experience/ability level.
