Guest Glide December 22, 2012 December 22, 2012 Well, here I, or we, go. I found I needed a true companion since my real life 'friends' aren't exactly the best people but the only ones around. Now we've got the past down, let's get on subject and in the present. ---------- I've been at this for the three days it took to register and at least think I'm getting somewhere. I've decided against keeping exact time to avoid feeling like things are going to fast or slow. I spent some time making my wonderland first. I found it hard to actually put myself in there and see through my own eyes, but eventually managed it. My wonderland is a clearing in the woods with a pond and a three story stone keep with a locked door. I even found moving myself hard. It took a lot of time, but I think I can do it rather well now, since I can feel the wight and texture of my shoelaces when I tie them there. Then I finally got on to my tulpa. It started as a white mist or cloud and is still, in fact that cloud and stays in my wonderland since I'm even worse at imposing than visualizing. It doesn't move on it's own yet, but I can pull it along by putting my hand into it. It feels a lot like clutching a handful of dust. The farthest I got forming it was pulling it into a human form, but it was hard and it always seem to pull back like it was reluctant. After I finally got it in shape it was flat, like a drawing, so I guess I'll need to put some actual flesh and bone into it too. It quickly returned to a cloud and I got a nasty headache, which I suppose means progress.
fennecfoxx December 22, 2012 December 22, 2012 That's pretty cool that you've got your wonderland sessions to that level already. Meanwhile, I still see everything from a third-person POV and can't feel a thing. >.> Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past
Guest Glide December 22, 2012 December 22, 2012 ...I still see everything from a third-person POV and can't feel a thing. >.> Well, as far as feeling goes I just try pulling it from what I already know something feels like. Nothing is very detailed yet though...
Guest Glide December 22, 2012 December 22, 2012 Not my best picture, but I think it's okay. Here's my wonderland from the tallest tree in the area.
Guest Glide December 23, 2012 December 23, 2012 Over the weekend I worked on giving my tulpa a form. It either really hates to change or I'm just bad at this because every time I try I get an extreme headache. It's more of a blob instead of a cloud now though, so I guess I've managed to make it more solid and moldable. I can push and pull it and form it into shapes, but it's always a flat shape that returns to a blob once a headache starts up.
Guest Glide December 27, 2012 December 27, 2012 Over the passed couple days (Merry Christmas!) I've been working on forming my tulpa and I've just about got it despite the terrible head pain. It has an anthro type appearance, but no actual animal species I can tell of. It isn't very detailed, just a pure blue and it has no face.
Vampire13 December 27, 2012 December 27, 2012 maybe your tulpa doesnt like the form you are trying to give her? if she keeps being reluctant about moulding into that form, maybe you could wait for her to to gain a little more independence and choose her own form? that will also help reinforce trust between you and your tulpa. (I use "she" as a place holder, i feel uncomfortable referring to tulpas as "it") Name: Stranger (Until further notice) Form: Human female Birthday: 21-12-2012 Stage: Narration/Visualisation Name: Carer (Until further notice) Form: Human female Birthday: ? (probably around the same time as Strangers) Stage: Narration/Visualisation

(I use "she" as a place holder, i feel uncomfortable referring to tulpas as "it") Well, I'm giving it that form as a sort of placeholder. It's already changed it to a more animalesque type thing and added some stuff. I think the headaches are simpley from my lack of visualization ability and I just needed to kickstart it's forming a bit. I use 'it' instead of she because...well, I think it'll be awkward if it decides to be a he or vise versa.

Ah, the problems caused by a lack of a gender-neutral pronoun Stats is back: https://stats.jean-luc.org/ I don't visit as often as I used to. If you want me to see something, make sure to quote a post of mine or ping me @jean-luc
Splooshie123 December 27, 2012 December 27, 2012 Why not just use a gender neutral name (like Alex, which can be short for either the male Alexander or the female Alexandra)? He/she/it/wombo can choose a different name later if they want.
