Waterbijdewijn June 2, 2012 Author June 2, 2012 Fair enough. I'll start with the tulpa himself after I'm finished with the traits then. Thank you. quidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur
Guest June 2, 2012 June 2, 2012 Thanks for being sane unlike the rest of the madmen residing this forum. Another important thing to note is that you shouldn't treat your tulpa like a baby. This is called the baby logic. It's basically when you're "training" or "teaching" the tulpa knowledge that you're imagining it to not know. By doing this, you're severely hindering its capabilities and development for no reason. Be the smart guy and treat your tulpa like an intelligent being.
Waterbijdewijn June 2, 2012 Author June 2, 2012 I'm actually trying to make him like the blood elf I played when I played World of Warcraft, which means he should be smarter and more mature than me. I'm sure I'll automatically treat him that way. Speaking of a blood elf, I've read that tulpas mature over time, but a blood elf shouldn't be aging that much in my whole life time. Will be subconscious take this? And if he conjures fire, I'll notice it as fire I think, but will I feel the warmth of it? quidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur
Guest June 2, 2012 June 2, 2012 Aging depends on your mind. Some tulpae age, others don't. As for the fire, you probably will feel its warmth when it becomes developed enough.
Waterbijdewijn June 2, 2012 Author June 2, 2012 Very good. Then hopefully I'll be having nice hypothermic, but warm winters in the future. quidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur
Guest Albatross_ June 2, 2012 June 2, 2012 Keep in mind that you should do whatever feels right to you. There is no one "correct" way to make a tulpa. There are guidelines, there are reccomendations; but the process is purely personal. If you want to make a wonderland for any reason go ahead. It has not been proven to make imposition more difficult. Also, Fede, your implication that people who do not choose to create a tulpa in exactly the same way as you are somehow lacking in sanity is...objectionable at best.
JD1215 June 2, 2012 June 2, 2012 In my opinion, wonderlands are great and are not hard to make at all, nor do they deter imposition. For me, it sounds way harder making a tulpa without a wonderland. WTB: Rare Tulpas
Charlotte June 2, 2012 June 2, 2012 While Fede has a point I think wonderland effects are also personal enough to vary from person to person. People like Fede and I aren't that visual so we're fine with just talking where others might require a wonderland. This hot empty painting should be locked and towed.
Guest June 2, 2012 June 2, 2012 Visual, well... I dunno how visual I am. I've always had a playful imagination, but... I just don't like the wonderland idea. I never did. It just... doesn't make sense for me to waste time on something I'm going to get rid of either way, plus I know it'd only be in the way when I impose my tulpa. Simple logic. The clear, superior alternative is simply ESP. There's just no simple way to teach people how to do ESP, and thus it's easier to just vomit up "make wonderland :V".
glitchthe3rd June 2, 2012 June 2, 2012 I'm also going to have to agree the wonderland isn't a waste of time. You can send your tulpa there when there isn't space for them (i.e. on a crowded bus or train), and it's good practice in general.
