I've read a lot here about some tulpae being able to fly, some to shapeshift and such.

When and how do you put it into the creation process? I couldn't find anything about it in the guides.

It's just something you add as part of their design. So if you want them to use elemental magic, you have to specify that as one of their abilities.

Alternatively, you can do what I did and make their power the ability to absorb and use new powers, which would be a sort of coverall trait.

Tulpae: Luna, Elise, Naomi

My progress report

I would do it in the visualization stage, since, depending on the ability, you'll have to visualize it anyway.

I'm thinking I'll put it at the end of the personality and then follow it up in the visualisation. I'm doing the personality at the moment already.

I'm planning on giving him the ability to do all kinds of mage related things. Conjuring up things, elemental magic, sparkly things..

"Things your tulpa can do" seems more tied to form than anything else. I guess that general narration could do that, too.

I'm going to make my tulpa be able to levitate, but prefer to stay on the ground. A similar thing with phasing through walls. It has utility, but it is uncomfortable/annoying.

You could put them in day one, if you wanted to.

Pretty much this. I've had my tulpa's abilities planned out since I started her, but I won't really be focusing on them until the visualization stage.
