You don't think it can form naturally?

Sure it can form naturally, but then sentience probably won't come as quickly, and you don't get to have any influence on the personality you'll be sharing your head with for the rest of your life.

My tulpa is almost certainly sentient but not vocal yet. She seems to have made the most progress while I was working on personality -- both at the start, and again after a few weeks of narration.

Lyra: human female, ~17

Evan: boy, ~14, was an Eevee

Anera: anime-style girl, ~12; Lyra made her

you don't get to have any influence on the personality you'll be sharing your head with for the rest of your life.

Don't want to force anything on her.

But if you put in traits, she will be those traits. You wouldn't be forcing traits into a tulpa, the tulpa already has the traits built-in. It's like the whole thing with background. A tulpa lnows it is a tulpa and can identify when it was born. So if you use traits, that's how the tulpa just is, not something shoved down it's throat.

These questions and polls are sinking to increasingly lower levels, Lulu.

Besides, one of the first threads on this forum was about not establishing a personality and rather let the subconscious handle the whole task. The verdict was that not doing personality was going to make development much longer, and your tulpa might not turn out the way you intended, too.

I don't think a personality can form on it's own, but after it is made it sure can deviate.

So working on a personality is a good thing, but controlling it too much is bad.
