Lyranon June 9, 2012 June 9, 2012 I've fallen asleep a few times while forcing Ly, to my great chagrin. Ly reports it feeling like being in the middle of a great storm, not knowing when it will end if ever. (She's forgiven me by the way.)
+Zucchini June 9, 2012 June 9, 2012 I've fallen asleep quite a lot of times during tulpaforcing sessions actually. According to my tulpa Octavia, she haven't really experienced anything jarring. When I fall asleep while tulpaforcing, I disappear from the wonderland, and weird stuff happens to the wonderland, as if I've taken psychedelic drugs. For instance, the colour of the sky changes or everything seems distorted. But nothing is done on her body itself though. It was quite interesting that the impact of falling asleep while having a session is different from the majority of people here. Guest June 11, 2012 June 11, 2012 1. Does this increase trait deviation? 2. How long do you need to have been asleep for it to be traumatic? Is even a small amount of time, like 40 minutes, bad? Asking these here
Guest Anonymous June 11, 2012 June 11, 2012 Question: How does Rem vs the other kind of sleep affect tulpas?
Guest June 12, 2012 June 12, 2012 I'm still interested in the questions presented in this thread. Also: how long does it take for a tulpa to be normal again after experiencing this?
G|d30n June 14, 2012 June 14, 2012 Question: How does Rem vs the other kind of sleep affect tulpas? I would think you'd need to enter REM for there to be any effect. Your subconscious isn't doing much of anything when you go to sleep until you start dreaming. Has a tulpa ever died from such an experience? The only way to kill a tulpa is to ignore it. Glitch can fill you in since he's the one with the most firsthand experience in that area, but long story short, if Luna's still alive after all of the things she and Glitch have experienced, then it's pretty safe to declare tulpae unkillable by any means besides lack of acknowledgment by their creators. If the tulpa believes it can die and if the host believes it, then the effect is that the tulpa can get "paused" and if that lasts long enough, the memories that make up the tulpa would fade away, thus making the tulpa die for real, but the same is true of our own personalities... Glitch brought Luna back because he realized that it was possible, which is a good thing.
