Joshua+1 May 1, 2013 May 1, 2013 A quick overview of what the terms "psychosomatic symptoms" means. According to Merriam-Webster: of, relating to, involving, or concerned with bodily symptoms caused by mental or emotional (in this case, triggered by a tulpa) disturbance. In this case, Ruusaan (my tulpa) was worried about something that I'll keep confidential, for our sakes. It was to the point that, when she shared her emotional state with me, I became physically ill and needed to report to the base doctor. I was medically cleared and given a prescription for Gravol if I felt nauseous again (for obvious reasons, I didn't explain the theoretical cause). I was wondering if anyone else has experiences like this, or if it was simply a one off. The other: phantom limb movement during possession. I've recently started working towards possession with Ruusaan, and two days ago she managed to lift my forearm. I had my eyes closed during the exercise and if felt like the arm had come up a full foot. When I opened my eyes and saw that it was only three inches from the mattress, I was surprised. My question, to those that have progressed to full possession or to those working on it, is if tulpa are capable of inducing the feeling that your limbs are moving even if they are not. That's it, that's all folks. Name: Ruusaan Form: Human Working on: Imposition Age: 20 (13/10/2012) Name: Lyra Form: Satyr Working on: Age: 8 Name: Lily Form: Human Working on: Age: 19 (12/12/2012)
Semi-Nomadic May 2, 2013 May 2, 2013 The feeling of "phantom arms" has happened to me a couple of times, though I don't think it was caused by my tulpae, just by sitting still (and by imagining my wonderland body moving?) for long enough. My real arms went numb and I felt as if I had a pair of phantom arms in a different position, but so far, these phantoms have always been hard to move and haven't actually been following the movements of my imaginary wonderland body--once only I've managed to bring my phantom hands together, but it took a lot of concentrations and happened with a lag of a minute or so.
waffles May 2, 2013 May 2, 2013 Phantom arms - you can induce this with another person. Lie down and have them hold your legs up. Then let them slowly drop your legs; you will think that your legs have gone further than they really have, and will eventually think that your legs have gone through the floor or sofa or whatever. It's just because you feel your arm moving slowly - nothing to do with tulpas. For psychosomatic symptoms, I can only say that I have physically responded in a standard way to my tulpa's emotions. For example, she cries and I cry a bit, without feeling sad myself or anything. So if having the emotion or trauma yourself would cause psychosomatic symptoms, quite probably you could get them through empathy.
Chupi May 3, 2013 May 3, 2013 Regarding the phantom movement thing, I've had that a few times. We're not very far on possession yet, but with effort on both our parts a tulpa can slowly open and close a fist. Once in a while the hand can feel more open or closed than it really is. One time it felt like the thumb was pressing pretty hard against the pointer. This felt very real until I opened my eyes and saw they were a good inch apart. I may have another Tulpa it may of came from or it came from Jesse my new one. He was in fear over his mortality, he was worried I was going to get rid of him at one stage in the future or that he'd be killed. I had this horrible strong fear energy which wasnt at all me and not based on any thoughts I had at all I had coming from my subconsciousness for hours. It made me feel quite nausous and seemed that it just wasnt going to go away itself. So Ive ended up having to add another trait to Jesse so he dont fear death and a few other things to settle it. Things are now much better. Sounds like you need to find a way to calm your Tulpa. Jesse (human male) DOB 16th April 2013 Working on imposition
Chupi May 7, 2013 May 7, 2013 I generally calm mine like I would any other person, though I can also send them calm/happy emotions directly. At one point Lyra was somewhat questioning how real she might be (i.e. the old "do I really exist?" question), and I talked to her about it and reassured her. I foresaw that she would probably worry about whether I might eventually try to get rid of her, and so I explained to her that I love her too much to seriously consider such a thing, so she's here to stay. I have felt some sad emotion coming from her when we watched a certain movie, and it made me cry. The only other time I can think of when I had a psychosomatic-ish response from her was the time she booted me out of the wonderland because she was mad at me. I got a strong but foreign sense of revulsion, along with the usual feeling in my stomach, after which I could no longer visualize the wonderland for a minute.
