Lacquer May 6, 2013 May 6, 2013 What's you's guys's opinions on preconceived forms? I assume most of you had them, and it's literally a requirement for people basing their tulpa off of a character. What I mean is thinking of the form before, or at the same time as, personality. It seems to be a trend for people to make a form then apply the personality forcing to it. For those on either side of this, what do you think of the other side? I, personally, since I am doing the personality as a sort of "disembodied voice" and we will work together once she's sapient to design/make/create the form later, think that either method can work, and it's up to the host to decide the path he or she wants to take before the tulpamaking process begins.
tania May 6, 2013 May 6, 2013 I personally dont like the idea of preconceived forms.. why? cause people can outgrow them and I dont think one learns so much from having a preconceived form as if one let ones Tulpa choose some things from the very start.. I myself still dont have much of an idea what my tulpa is going to look like other then knowing he's going to be male and a human form. Im yet to see him (all Ive picked up so far is how I think he's got his fringe, interestingly it wasnt like the 3 hair styles I showed him and said I liked). Im sooo looking forward to seeing him, hopefully I will do soon. (Im having a flash here and there of things in his wonderland but that's all). I are putting out some basics on what I want him to look like but a lot is completely open eg I havent at all put any thought out on what skin colour I want, I dont care if he's blonde or brown haired ect. Its better I think if he gets to be individual. Jesse (human male) DOB 16th April 2013 Working on imposition
Kiahdaj May 6, 2013 May 6, 2013 I'm not sure why I don't understand what you're asking... Maybe because I just woke up... "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Guest Anonymous May 6, 2013 May 6, 2013 I'm not sure why I don't understand what you're asking... Maybe because I just woke up... I think he's asking about making a form right from the start. I started out like you, I didn't have a form from the beginning because I just couldn't think of one. I don't have a problem with it at all, from what I understood you can easily change the form afterwards, so if the tulpa doesn't like it it's not a problem. ...as if one let ones Tulpa choose some things from the very start.. Wich implies that the tulpa is capable of doing such decisions from the start. From what I understood it's about assuming that they are sentient from the beginning, not that they are sentient from the beginning.
Kiahdaj May 6, 2013 May 6, 2013 If that's the case, then I don't see what the problem with it, could be. Like noobdreamer said, you can change their form at any time, so how could it be an issue? I personally had a pretty good idea what I wanted my tulpa to look like, before I started, but I added the "finishing touches" just a little after. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
