I've heard frontloading mentioned here some, but I've never been able to figure out a straight definition.

The way it was explained to me is that frontloading is when you are told what to expect, and then that very thing happened, because you were expecting it, and not necessarily because it would have happened otherwise.

Sort of like the placebo effect, but I think that term is overused.

But I could be wrong. That's just how it was explained to me.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Sounds about right. Like taking someone's account and mistaking it for your own... and that's pretty bad, if it's not your own unique experience if you're basically copying someone else's thing.

Like for example, the whole head pressures thing is just a bunch of frontloading, making head pressures == tulpalamas. Gurl, I must have gone months expecting head pressures before realizing chest flutters was the way Snow responded to me... very rarely through head pressures.

Frontloading is when you invest a lot of resources into something at the start of the scenario. For example, you might put a lot of money into a bank as soon as possible, because then you would earn more from compound interest, or you might campaign heavily for something as soon as the issue opened up to make the first impression on people a strong one. It can also be used to describe loading from the front, for example inserting a CD into a CD player. This definition is not commonly used, however; in fact, it is not a common word in any sense.

That's what you find in the dictionary. Understandably finding a definition that has been assigned arbitrarily is difficult, but here it means when your expectations of something are set at the beginning. The definition can also be extended as an event to when this influences the outcome. It's not a real word in this sense, so please don't use it.
