Hannibal June 11, 2012 June 11, 2012 Allrite, it has been a week of lurking and asking around the thread for advice, and now I come again before you asking for more. I have started, more or less, trying diffrente methods and all that, and found what works for me. Awsome! Right? Nope, my paranoid brain found a massive hole in my plan, and will not let me continue untill I get some answers. So without further ado, here is my plan: Im trying to do personality like TOG (5 main traits, along the way think more that are synonyms with the main), but without any visualising. Im just thinking about my tulpa when doing personality/narrating The reason for no visualising is because I cant focus on the basic form. Let me tell you what happens: I imagine a ball/orb/whatever, and the form A) slips away, B) starts moving around. I can think of the main form without much truble, but since its a must (more or less) to do personality first, I see no other way in doing this. Here is the problem. I know of only one other individual that is doing this method, and thats Fede, but thats only one guy, and I would like to hear others opinions on this matter. Did anybody else did personality without focusing on the basic form? If so, how do I connect the personality (once I know of it) to the body I want my tulpa to look like? The guide is a bit hard for me to understand. If I understood FAQ Man's "straight forward" method, it should be similar to mine, or did I misread that? Also, is it that simple as to just explain my subconscious the personality and than "tell" it that my tulpas personality belongs to that body? Or is there something Im missing here? Im sorry If Im annoying, but im fliping out, thats for shure, so if you could be so kind and explain to me what Im missing here (if thats possible), please. Is actually Leo.

Or is there something Im missing here? Thats totally possible and what I'm gonna do. I'm explaining to my sub-c the personality, then once it becomes sentient I'll either try some visualization or just tell my subc that.
ThatOneGuy June 11, 2012 June 11, 2012 As long as you focus on your tulpa in general, you should be fine. I could see the form representing the tulpa to people, but if that's an issue just find something else that represents your tulpa well and focus on that instead. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Hannibal June 11, 2012 Author June 11, 2012 find something else that represents your tulpa well and focus on that instead. So all in all to get results, I should do visualisation. fuck Ok, guess I just need to be persistent. But what about FAQs man 2nd method? Did I missread his way? Is actually Leo.
ShyGuy65 June 11, 2012 June 11, 2012 Well, did you try visualizing the ball in your hands, or floating free? Like in Horricide's guide?
warp June 11, 2012 June 11, 2012 That question of yours also popped up in my mind when I read the first sentences of your post. I also don't visualise a basic form when doing personality. (I started on thursday.) But unlike you I didn't even try to force personality on a form. So I can't tell you if I would be able to. And I don't know what I would do if I'm done with personality ... Worst is ending up with an invisible tulpa, I wouldn't mind.
Hannibal June 11, 2012 Author June 11, 2012 Well, did you try visualizing the ball in your hands, or floating free? Like in Horricide's guide? Yes. Something about doing two things at once really fuckes me up. Dont know why. Im just freaking out right now, hopefully Ill be able to calm my tits, and will try again later. Is actually Leo.
Guest applesauce99 June 11, 2012 June 11, 2012 Well, did you try visualizing the ball in your hands, or floating free? Like in Horricide's guide? (immature laugh) But really, I thought I should add that when I visualized the 'soul' of my tulpa, I tried not to hold onto it for fear of communicating the idea of me being 'possessive' of the tulpa. I want my tulpa to feel 'free' so to speak, so it can mature and also so it can become sentient in the first place. Also, when I hold it I feel like I'm essentially controlling it in a way along the lines of parroting.
ThatOneGuy June 11, 2012 June 11, 2012 If you can figure out something that represents it that's not full on visualization, it should work fine. Something that fully and wholly is symbolic in your mind as 'my tulpa'. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
