Flexionsensor August 7, 2013 August 7, 2013 Holy cow! A tulpaforcer has been put into solitary confinement for six months! Nobody knows he's a tulpaforcer, so really, they're just being douchebags by putting him in that long, but still. What happens? How long can he survive? Has this thread been done before? All will be discussed in: TULPAFORCER VS SOLITARY CONFINEMENT! "DUDE! That's wrong! You don't do that! That's like giving a kid a knife and telling him that it's a neck massager!" Shameless self promotion!
Shui August 7, 2013 August 7, 2013 I'd be interested in knowing more. Initial thoughts: Solitary confinement and sensory deprivation have been known to cause hallucinations, but not hallucinations that can be controlled or induced at will. It would be interesting to see if he starts hallucinating things that he can't control, or if tulpaforcing gives him control over everything he hallucinates. I'm sorry, this is probably a friend of yours, and I'm being cold and clinical. If I were ever to go to prison though, I'd want it to be solitary confinement. "'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"
Flexionsensor August 7, 2013 Author August 7, 2013 It's hypothetical. "DUDE! That's wrong! You don't do that! That's like giving a kid a knife and telling him that it's a neck massager!" Shameless self promotion!
Shui August 7, 2013 August 7, 2013 Ah, in that case, ignore my entire post there. I should have seen that by your tone. I'd be interested in seeing what happens, but I I don't think I can judge based on what I know so far. "'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"
omegaAnubis August 8, 2013 August 8, 2013 He's a tulpaforcer, he's already gone insane without the confinement. As for the actual question...i dunno i am forever banned from drinking orange juice because my tulpa hates it with a burning passion
Shui August 8, 2013 August 8, 2013 Tulpaforcing is to insanity what surgery is to dismemberment. It's more minor, more deliberate, and potentially beneficial. "'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"

waffles August 8, 2013 August 8, 2013 Tulpaforcing is to insanity what surgery is to dismemberment. It's more minor, more deliberate, and potentially beneficial. If tulpa.info were the equivalent of medical school, I would never visit a hospital.
Shui August 8, 2013 August 8, 2013 Perhaps I should have said trepanation instead of surgery -- a deliberate, minor, potentially beneficial practice of primitive people with limited knowledge of the field. "'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"
Linkzelda August 8, 2013 August 8, 2013 I "picked that it doesn't really matter" for the poll. To be honest, if I were to be in solitary confinement, it would just be the theme of going through a long mental battle with yourself without any external distractions and actually finding a way to benefit yourself from the solitary confinement, kind of like Lex Luthor that gets in to prison but can still get out either way. The only problem with that is getting back to having an actual life with responsibilities if you get off for good behavior. But with how people are able to emulate good behavior despite of their insanity before in countless of cases, sooner or later the person's insanity check will be old news. Or they can just hope things end up like in the movie "The Shawshank Redemption." *shrugs* note, this was all said in jest, don't take me seriously guys.
