Progress report of my first Tulpa.

(This report can also be found at http://paranorm.boards.net/thread/7/progress-report-first-tulpa )

After a good while of thinking, I decided to begin tulpaforcing.

October 6 (2013), while listening to binural beats, I went to my wonderland and visualized an orb of light. I told it it's personalities, and afterwards began visualization. I succeded in visuaizing his body, but for the life of me could not see his face.

Today I started doing a little passive forcing as well.

My active forcing session lasted 23 minutes, before I lost concentration and got sleepy. Tonight I'll try to do longer.

I decided to name him Jesse.

What do you all think? Am I doing it "right "?

Thanks!

Sounds good to me. There are so many methods, lots of stuff can be right. I think the easiest way to visualize a face is to work with a reference photo. If you don't want to use the face of a real person, you can create a face. Of course if Jesse isn't humanoid, or you'd prefer him to decide on a face himself, you can ignore what I just said.

Good luck. Looking forward to hearing more!

"'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"

It's nice to see you've decided to begin your own journey into the tulpa phenomenon. Looking forward to reading how you and Jesse progress. ^_^

DAY 2.

Last night I successfully active forced for an entire hour. I was able to see his face for the first time. Today, I passive forced on and off. I will active force again tonight.

QUESTION: Is a non-sentient tulpa supposed to just stand there like a sack of potatoes, or can I imagine it doing things with me?

Should I wait until sentience before imagining it walking beside me?

Well, there are two schools of thought. Fede's guide encourages puppeting, and from what others have said about how easy it is to turn a servitor into a tulpa, it makes sense.

Lots of people are afraid their tulpa will never develop sentience if they're puppeted.

Personally, I side with Fede on this.

"'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"

Dancing-with-dragons, sentience is just a rudimentary type of sensory awareness to experience subjectivity, feel, and perceive. I highly doubt it's the determining factor of their movements being fluid instead of rigid and mechanical.

I guess the factors that contribute to them being more fluid and less mechanical are too much to make an inference on. Anyway, good luck!

It's day 6 with working on Jesse. The past two nights I have imagined Jesse coming to life rather than just standing there. We take walks together on the wonderland beach.

I have a question, is it possible to sentience to develop this early?

Yes. In some instances, sentience will develop before you actually start making a tulpa, especially in cases where it's a very familiar character. But sentience often comes fairly quickly.

"'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"

I've noticed that sentience kind of comes in different stages and levels. Like a developing child. A 5 year old is able to do and understand more than a 2 year. The more you work with your tulpa, the more self aware they will become.
