Narration help,

Recommended Posts

Ive decided to stop trying to visualize my Tulpa in my head and also take a break from the wonderland creation too. Id like to just stick with narrating until i get some results and then move on from there. How should i go about it though. I try narration in my thought voice but not sure how effective that is, I'm going to try narrating out loud but i truly don't understand how to go about it...do i just talk to myself and hope that there is my tulpa listening. Ive read plenty of guides and been reading up on this for weeks. When i even try thinking about the idea that i'll be talking to "nothing" but its really the developmental stage of my Tulpa, ugh it stresses me out and i get pressure on my frontal lobe area just thinking about this!

Please dont sit here and tell me to read more guides, id like advice on a more personal level. Anyone that has had the same issue as me or something of that sort.

When I narrate I simply talk to or at Bud in my head. About anything and everything. You can talk to your tulpa or you can simply talk and keep in mind that they are listening. Kind of "directing" your thoughts toward them while you going about your basic way of thinking. I also Bud about what I'm doing when ever I'm doing something and why, "Oh, I'm going for a walk, I like to do this because it's a good way to exercise and I get to look around the neighborhood, oh there's the neighbor's dog, he's a dick because (insert reason here)"

You can also narrate while reading things. This mind set is like you are reading TO your tulpa. I'm currently reading the Harry Potter series to Bud and he seems to be enjoying it quite a bit.

You don't talk to yourself, and hope that the tulpa is listening. You talk to the tulpa.

Just like when you talk to someone on the phone. You don't see the person, but you know they're listening, and you're talking to them, expecting them to hear you. It's kind of like that.

Simply direct your thoughts to your tulpa, with the expectation that they will hear you, and you have nothing to worry about.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

ahh that telephone analogy works wonders on my mind, thankyou! Hmm i havnt tried reading to my tulpa, ill have to find a book that i dont need to directly concentrate on. I suspect reading a childrens book for Kuru :) figure she has to learn words and all

I tried reading to my tulpa, but it really didn't work out; I quickly stopped focusing on him, whatsoever.

But I suspect it might be because it was a big boy book. A children's book may well have worked.

I started with World War Z and that didn't go so well because I've never read it before.

Harry Potter though, I've read the whole series twice and it's working wonders I think it's because I'm already familiar with the series and I can focus on Bud more than focusing on the story. Because of the fact that I already know it.

So maybe a book that you've read before but wouldn't mind reading again?

:P yes i can read manga lol, but ill try. I just wasn't sure if it would work as well giving as theres a lot of images and i dont know if Kuru sees what i see

I don't see why it wouldn't. You could even pause every so often and talk to him about what's going on in the story too.
