I plan to fix this but im wondering what are some of the negative effects of this? I started college this week and had minimal time to talk to Crystal. Some side effects I noticed were a slight separation or fading of her 'presence' if you will, and will sometimes demand attention, to the point where you may have a mild headache. these fade if you continue to talk to your tulpa, or you continue not to do so and it will dissipate. -Creative one-liner here- -Comment about a user here- -tulpa Progress report here- -symbol here- -more text- -Quote #2-
Linkzelda November 4, 2013 November 4, 2013 There's a difference between talking to your tulpa with a narrative voice (e.g. reading a book, discussing past events) and actually talking with your tulpa with a non-narrative voice (e.g. giving an opinion on a show you're watching with your tulpa, asking them a question). There's not going to be any "negative" effects from not narrating, it's just your attention to them won't be as strong. Of course, this is presuming you're in the initial stages where you still have to consciously focus on them. But after they can exist with little to no conscious effort on your end, how often they can sustain that presence is dependent on many factors. So don't worry too much on those stories of people losing their tulpa, you just need to shift your focus back to them. That's just one of many differences between having a tulpa and anyone else: If the tulpa "dies," "loses their presence," "dissipates," or whatever, shifting your attention to their existence (i.e. pre-existent memories of them) can bring them back again. If anyone else that's not a tulpa dies, well...they're dead. And to be honest, I held off from narrating for a week last week, but it's not like Eva or Ada are non-existent to me. Quilten November 5, 2013 November 5, 2013 Basically narration is just something that you should make a habit out of doing, but if you don't do it as often as you like, it's not too much of a big deal. Like LZ said, there is a difference between narration and casual chit-chat.
