Artnunymiss November 28, 2013 November 28, 2013 I don't think strong mental facilities are required, especially since a tulpa can be made by you simply talking to them for a bit (and things are probably going on in the backgrund, like you expecting certain kinds of responses or expecting certain things). I agree. I think everyone makes tulpas all the time, just that most people are by no means aware of it. However to make one that you can deliberately become aware of is difficult, if you're not already aware of the ones you've already made. And that's just not the Assburger's crowd, that's all humans on earth, IMHO. Namaste, bitches
Quadraginta November 28, 2013 November 28, 2013 Anybody CAN make a tulpa, doesn't mean they should. Name: Raid Sentience: Confirmed Working on: Vocality Personality Traits: Is awesome a personality trait? Form: 1. Pegasus Pony, with a flat, pink mane, and pink tail, and yellow coat. Also, blue eyes. 2. A blue-haired human (only encountered in dream so far)
Artnunymiss November 28, 2013 November 28, 2013 Anybody CAN make a tulpa, doesn't mean they should. I believe people make them all the time without knowing them, unintentionally. It had never occurred to me, the "should or shouldn't" question. I think actually it's great for anyone who wants one to go ahead and do it. I'm impressed at how much time and effort people have put into some of them.
Linkzelda November 29, 2013 November 29, 2013 I don’t really think there has to be competence in using militant and strong “facilities” or whatever to make a tulpa, at least done for long periods of time of course. And I’m talking about militant forcing that stretches out 3+ hours a day for several months, it’s just not pragmatic unless the person can magically forgo basic human functioning and limits. I always go back to how in dreaming in general, the mind already has more than enough capabilities to make thought-forms in your head to the point where if the dreamer thinks they’re all consciously causing things becomes an overstatement. Some people are just more suggestive, can imagine better because of several things (e.g. social conditioning, genetics, upbringing, and pretty much their overall temperament throughout the process). And with how people would want to be unique in a planet with over 7.046+ billion people, thinking there has to be a special set of abilities only reserved to a few individuals is just an ego trip when anyone can make a tulpa (as long as they’re not lobotomized or something) if they just get over themselves and find ways to develop their cognition and such. Nobillis November 30, 2013 November 30, 2013 Hm. I've heard some people say that what we have aren't "real tulpas" or whatever because we didn't spend as much time on ours as the Tibetans, who meditate for years. Some did ("spend as much time ... as the Tibetans"). Kevin's first tulpa took many years. People still argue that she's not a tulpa. You can't "win" either way with critics. Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.
Guest Riy November 30, 2013 November 30, 2013 Everyone is different. Everyone can approach the tulpa concept in their own way. Just have the proper motivation and anything is possible.
