konrad13 November 30, 2013 November 30, 2013 All right, so I've recently started back to forcing after moving back hømē with the folks, and trying to compress an apartment (flat to others) into a 12x15 ft room with a 2x4 ft closet has made things fairly cramped... And messy to boot. And while I am used to it, I am finding myself having difficulty focusing whilst narrating. So the question I'm asking is is "Does a messy or 'loud' room make forcing more difficult for you?" I'm seriously considering boxing up even more of my stuff to help me focus, but I just want your alls thoughts on the matter? Me: Hey, say something for this thread! Koharu: Yay, cupcakes! mfw there are no cupcakes. Sentience? Yes. Brilliance? Ehh...
Quilten December 1, 2013 December 1, 2013 I've got ADHD, and even then, I usually have a messy room when I force. As long as I shove all of my books and other crap off of my bed and get comfy, forcing isn't too hard. I do closed-eyed visualization while wearing noise-canceling headphones, and your case might be different, but generally I do not have a problem unless the area immediately around where I'm sitting is messy. Nobillis December 1, 2013 December 1, 2013 All you need is space enough to be comfortable. Mess is irrelevant. > Me: Hey, say something for this thread! > Koharu: Yay, cupcakes! > mfw there are no cupcakes. Sentience? Yes. Brilliance? Ehh... Remember the taste of cupcakes. Remember the look, the texture and the feel. Find these within the memory. And now, imagine it there, in your hand. *Poof!* (You have cake.) When you are a tulpa you can make cake in your wonderland any time you want. Yes, the taste is not as strong. But, it is still very, very good. Humans taught me this on the #tulpa.info chat. Before that all the wonderland had taste like cardboard. But now, there is cake, and it tastes of carrots. Oh yes, carrot cake cupcakes are the best. Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.
Quilten December 1, 2013 December 1, 2013 Laughs maniacally and bites into cupcake that isn't there, and then chokes on said imaginary cupcake. Ashmo December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 I've never personally had trouble forcing in clutter or a "messy" area but I think it hinders my girlfriend's concentration when she tries to force.
Guest Anonymous December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Close your eyes while forcing and imagine being in an empty room.
konrad13 December 2, 2013 Author December 2, 2013 I appreciate your all's answers. Tonight I'm going to power compress my room some more and hope that helps. As for closing my eyes, I prefer them open since I always fear falling asleep while forcing. Is a bit difficult for me to stat awake when I'm all relaxed and closed lids and all. I'll try it fir a while and see how it helps. Me: Hey, say something for this thread! Koharu: Yay, cupcakes! mfw there are no cupcakes. Sentience? Yes. Brilliance? Ehh...
