Guest December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Figured I'd ask just to see what all I can get in the way of suggestions, so yay. Mkay, well, I've had Miri talking for the better part of a couple weeks or something, and I'm, honestly, at a complete loss on what to do from here. She's not very good at speaking at all, so would there be something I could work on to bump that up a little bit? Maybe an enjoyable exercise in visualization, that someone with the mind's eye of someone who enjoys doing taxes can do? Meaning, I'm awful at it, anything pretty simple, and enjoyable to try out? I don't know, I'm just fishing for things I'm not creative enough to think up on my own. I've been through all the forum a time or two since I began some seven, eight months ago, but can't quite recall anything that fell within my.. Skill level, if nothing else.. So I'm just curious as to whether or not any of you have any withheld exercises, or games you'd be willing to share. Again, absolutely terrible at visualization, nothing I've ever done that was supposedly able to help with it, has helped with it, so please bear in mind. That it? Should be. Thank you in advance, ideas would be appreciated.
cartowheel December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 I'd suggest taking a few hours and going somewhere familiar with you tulpa, someplace you know so well that you can easily visualize it. For example, I've been to Disney World more times than I can count on my fingers in the span of the 20 years of my life, so I took Chael there a few weeks ago since I can visualize the environment and quite a few of the rides quite well. Are there are any parks, shopping districts, buildings maybe that you know like the back of your hand? Something like that would be fun, a good visualization exercise, but shouldn't be too taxing on your mind. Quilten December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Step 1: Google/Think of simple games Step 2: Play them with tulpa Step 3: Browse forums Step 4: Look at all the other guides and threads on this exact subject Step 5: Do what you want Step 6: ????? Step 7: Profit Even though my username is that of my tulpa, Quilten, my name is Phaneron, the host, who does all of the actual posting. Tulpas: Quilten, Jira
Ashmo December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Can you envision what's going on in a story when you read things? Not necessarily actual mind's eye work but kind of still "seeing" it. I read to Bud. I read everything to Bud, but now that he's started getting vocal I stop and ask his opinion on things. What he thinks of the plot of a story so far, how he's enjoying the particular article I'm reading at the time. I involve him in what's going on and because it's forcing him to think of things from his perspective instead of relying on mine it's helping in both speech and independence.
Strangelove December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Something you could try, is reading a story or fic you really like and insert you and your tulpa for the characters. You could just replace the characters in your head, or copy down the whole story (if done online of course) and replace the names. One new idea i'm trying out is listening to Old Time Radio stories like X-1, The Whistler, The Twilight Zone, The Lone Ranger, Have Gun, Will Travel, etc. You can find this in "various" forms all over the net, so give it a shot! Its all audio so you have to visualize everything anyway; adding in your tulpa as one of the characters could help visualization+mind-voice/vocality at the same time. If you do try this, PM me and let me know your result if you would? Guest December 2, 2013 December 2, 2013 Cartowheel - I actually don't have many wonderful memories in locations other than my home. Never been on vacation, seldom ever been to beaches, been to amusement parks maybe.. Three times in my life, not in the past four years. So idunno. I live in a rural area, so there hasn't been much to do in my life since I was born. Nothing I personally enjoy, anyway. So eh.. Quilten - Not sure if you actually thoroughly read the OP, but as stated, I've been around for a fair amount of time, and read through about every exercise and game I thought could possibly help me with visualization. As stated, I've, "Been through all the forum a time or two". I'm simply wondering if there's anything that's never been posted, because the search function, while fantastic, isn't gonna turn up something new every time I use it. Asking for something tailored for someone with awful, AWFUL visualization, with new people answering might. 'Might' being the word here. Ashmo - ironically, in literature, my visualization is crystal clear. I've been reading Project Horizons, an 8000 or so (By mobile increments) page fic lately, and I can see everything perfectly in my head. Idunno why it's different with this process, but it is. I actually try doing all that with Miriam, but she isn't the most talkative, it seems. I'll ask what she thinks of something that's going on, and get something like, "Pretty interesting". Then get something along those lines the next twelve times I ask. She says she likes it, so idunno if she's just saying something out of disinterest, or just isn't ever in a talkative mood, or what.. Strangelove - I've always wanted to try something like that, actually. Just never known exactly how to go about it. Just train myself to swap out one name for mine or Miri's on sight, without thinking, or rewrite it? Never known what exactly I should do. But I'll see about doing something like that once I'm home. Hope it keeps my attention.

Just train myself to swap out one name for mine or Miri's on sight, without thinking, or rewrite it? Im know notepad has a replace all function. Just search for all instances of Character A and replace with your name, and Character B with Tulpas name. You could, i suppose, also do this with certain characters to demonstrate relationship dynamics (I.E swap out two characters that love each other with you and tupper, characters that are great friends, swap out super smart character with tupper for showcasing intelligence.) If you try this, again, let me know, id love to know that i came up with useful method for others and their tulpas. Guest December 3, 2013 December 3, 2013 I, regrettably, don't have access to a computer at this moment in time. But, I'll let you know how that goes when I do, and if I give this a shot.
