Hey guys, Aaron here.

I just wanted to ask what you guys find as the best way to start your first session. I was thinking of basically spending about 20-30 minutes introducing myself, then telling him about what I want to achieve with him. Is this a good idea, and, even if it is, what has worked for you guys?

I know, I've read a lot of articles and guides on the subject, but I just want a millionth opinion so I have a clear cut picture of how I want to proceed

The introduction can be a nice start, and narration is a good way to go for this. Getting your thoughts out and going through the implications, symbolism, etc. will eventually come together in time. I guess focusing on slowly building up on that will help you transcend into other methods in the future.

Be adaptive, be flexible, and know that any progress contributes to the end result and much more.

Thank you, I plan on beginning my first session once I clear my head about a few things, so I'll be updating my progress report later, if you're interested in how I go.

I actually did something like this when I started Bud. I told him about myself and the people in my life. I told him about all my personal merits and flaws I saw in myself and I think it really helped him and I get as close as we are now.
