Purlox June 28, 2012 June 28, 2012 I recently found out about tulpae and decided to make one. I'm thinking about the body right now, but I can't thinking about giving her/it 2/3 forms: 1. a fox - a form that doesn't take that much space (and because I like foxes a lot) 2. another animal or fairy like form - a form for very crowded areas 3. female human (around my age) - the primary form The problem is even after few days I have pretty vague idea how she will look like in the primary form. Do you think I could just give her the other form(s) and make this one pretty generic (probably with as least clothes as I can handle), leaving a lot of room for her to change the body later on? Also what does help you tulpaforce?
Guest June 28, 2012 June 28, 2012 I initially had my tulpa be represented by an orb of energy. My tulpa picked its own form and everything turned out fine.
Pronas June 28, 2012 June 28, 2012 I dunno about shapeshifting tuppers, you might end up with three different tulpas, a fox, a fairy thing and a girl. Why not mix all of them into the girl? Like....... a fox girl? or maybe she wears fox skin thingies or whatever. Anyways, it's ok to leave the form open endend for her. i generally prefer absolute silence to tulpaforce, but sometimes some calm music is good.
Guest Anonymous June 28, 2012 June 28, 2012 I had the same problem as you, and the best solution I've found is to just pick one form. Working on a tulpa that can shapeshift into 3 forms can be exceptionally harder than making a normal tulpa, and has a higher failure rate. Just work on personality and narration first, and work on visualization after they're sentient. For me, the few times she's visualized, I just use some ambiguous eyes that could fit with any of the forms I was considering. I think it's good to have at least some physical placeholder in mind, since it can speed up her sentience to have another trigger for your subconscious. Once your tulpa is sentient and possibly vocal, you can ask your tulpa what form out of the 3 she likes best, and go with that.
Pleeb June 28, 2012 June 28, 2012 I'm going to go ahead and reiterate what LucidAcid said. It took me over a month before I even decided to start tulpaforcing because I couldn't decide on a form, and eventually, I just went in with several different forms in mind, ranging from elves to animals. After 15 hours of personality work, I decided to just pick one of those forms that was pleasing to the eye, and use that as my base to visualize her. Once she's completely sapient, we'll discuss which form she would like to best have, and then we'll go with that one. Spoiler An image in a signature behind a hidden tag!
