SableXIV April 9, 2014 April 9, 2014 What are tulpas able to see? Especially in the beginning. Do they see everything, or do they only see when you are concentrating on them, willing them to see what you do? Or when you concentrate on them, are they specifically in wonderland, only seeing what you think about as opposed to what you are actually seeing? “Of course it is happening inside your head... but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?” -Albus Dumbledore "Only a few find the way, some don't recognize it when they do - some...don't ever want to." -Cheshire Cat
Kiahdaj April 10, 2014 April 10, 2014 If they are in wonderland, they see the wonderland as they imagine it. If they so choose, they can use your senses, and see as you see. When the tulpa becomes more developed, it is possible for them to "see" from a certain point in the physical world. They see as your brain would expect to see, if you were standing in that position. This is typically how imposed tulpas see. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Raxter April 11, 2014 April 11, 2014 I would think it all depends on how you perceive your tulpa to exist inside your head. If you think that when your tulpa is in your wonderland that it is shut out from everything except what you allow it to know, then it would only know things that you tell it. On the other hand if you think that your tulpa is able to see out of your eyes like a movie projected on a screen for it to watch then it would most likely act that way. The most terrifying thing about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent. In the vast darkness we must supply our own light.
Grimjoww April 11, 2014 April 11, 2014 I remember not too long after creating my tulpa, he expressed interest in sleeping on the top bunk of my bunk bed. So in my experience at least, they see what I see. I think a good rule here would be not to overthink the process or complicate it too much.
