Are most tulpas invisible to sight at the first few months of mancing?

I guess i have yet to see them or my mind is too random but i have been mancing for at least oh.. say 6 months now and i haven't seen Mina, red or my Snow manifest at all, but i can hear them clear as a bell and i know where they are

 

This seeing your tulpa is rather new to us (my family) too. Kevin has long had tulpas, but for years they had no form at all and never saw the need to have one (pun intended).
