Alexavier January 6, 2015 January 6, 2015 Recently I've been noticing that usually if a Tulpa wants to communicate with you through vocals, its usually a mindvoice. For all this time I had thought that if a Tulpa tried to talk with its host, it would be a form of auditory hallucination. (I am aware that auditory hallucination is another way for a Tulpa to speak with its host, but a mindvoice is usually more common when fully achieving vocalization if i'm correct.) And I know they're other forms of communication a Tulpa can use to make contact with it's host via head pressure, or random emotions. I also kind of know what a mindvoice is... It's basically talking out loud in your head, I do it all the time when reading a book or talking with my Tulpa. But I want to know from you guys how it would feel inside your head if a Tulpa were to talk with you through their mindvoice. (I'm sorry if this is a confusing question, I'm trying to make as much sense as I can...) I just can't picture how it would feel and sound in my head if for say, my Tulpa talked with me through his mindvoice, you know? All I want is experiences from you guys, How does it feel? How does it sound? Is it similar like an auditory hallucination or something completely different? Does it sometimes feel like you're accidentally parroting? How do you know for sure if its the Tulpa's Mindvoice and not yours? Reality is a story the mind tells itself. An artificial structure conjured into being by the calcium ion exchange of a million synaptic firings. A truth so strange it can only be lied into existence. And our mind can lie. Never doubt it...
OCDHost January 6, 2015 January 6, 2015 It is confusing at first when the tulpa's voice is weak and doesn'y "sound" different than yours, in my case after a while my tulpas developed their own mindvoices that sound different than my own, I haven't worked on auditory imposition yet so all our communication is in mind voice, but it sounds different, it's like if I ask you to read this in the voice of Morgan Freeman (for putting a well known and easy example), you can probably hear his voice while you read, well that's how I experience my tulpas voices, though I have read some people saying that their tulpas don't have a different voice but they still can "feel" who's talking, they probably can explain that better than me. And everyone has doubts about parroting at first, it's normal and that solves itself with time as you gain more confidence. English isn't my first language and I'm not used to write in it but I'm always interested in learning, please tell me if I made a mistake or if you have any advice
sushi January 6, 2015 January 6, 2015 I can't always tell who's talking. Sometimes she's able to tell me, sometimes we can figure it out from context, more often one of us says something that can clearly be attributed to us ("Anyway, sushi, this is what I think...") and we just continue the conversation. Kaga and Company January 7, 2015 January 7, 2015 I usually describe it to my friends as "another train of thought running separately from yours". So like, you know what your own voice sounds like in your head, right? Like when you read something, or imagining yourself talk, or just plain thinking. Well, that's basically what the mindvoice is. So, when your tulpa communicates with mindvoice, it's just like that. Except, it's not you thinking. A thought came into your head that you could "hear" the same way you "hear" your own thoughts in your head, but this particular thought did not come from you. It's really the same thing as seeing your tulpas in the mind's eye, or in your wonderland. You're not really hallucinating, just imagining your tulpas - except, they're controlling themselves. Again, it's like having thoughts that just don't come from you. And yeah, my tulpas have different voices from me, too, so that also helps to tell them apart a bit. But then, sometimes even my own mindvoice doesn't quite sound like myself. (Sometimes if I just finished watching a TV show or something, I can't help but think using one of the actor's voices. It's weird. Dunno if that happens to anyone else or not but yeah.) Still, each of my tulpas has a distinct voice that I can usually tell apart from mine. Sometimes a tulpa and I will be confused about who-thought-what, but that's usually when it's something that we'd be in agreement on anyway, so it could've been either of us, or even both. But yeah, when our thoughts are clearly separate, I do imagine them with distinct voices. Heck, Kael has an English accent, even though I'm American. Really they could sound like anything. And yeah i kind of understand the concept of what a mindvoice would be for a Tulpa, i'm sure it will take a while for my Tulpa to master that and i'm also sure they're will be times where i might accidentally parrot but hey, that's apart of the experience of achieving a voice for a Tulpa. Thank you for your help and your answer, I now have a better idea of making my Tulpa talk. Reality is a story the mind tells itself.
