bunny-boi-lover April 17, 2015 April 17, 2015 Edwin and I were talking yesterday, and he decided that he wanted to take up a hobby to pass the time when I can't be around. I told him that I would bring up the topic on this forum to ask you guys what sort of hobbies your tulpae have (if that's even a thing) and what Edwin might be able to take up. He seems to show interests in math and science, so something related to that might help. He also seems to only sleep for about 6 hours each night, so it would have to be something sort of time-consuming but something he can leave when I'm able to come around. STeeK April 17, 2015 April 17, 2015 Seems an interesting topic I'm curious too; hopefully we get detailed replies -> Roseluck's Art Gallery and Requests <-
bunny-boi-lover April 17, 2015 Author April 17, 2015 Yeah, it sort of floored me when he suggested it. I don't even know if tulpae can have hobbies, aside from making changes to wonderland, which isn't really a hobby at all unless they resist the urge to instantly create things and go through the act of building and growing things instead. I thought maybe he could build models or make dioramas. Whatever the case, I do know that whatever he takes up it would have to be something I either know about or would have to learn about. I understand that tulpae are still limited by their hosts' knowledge. glitchthe3rd April 18, 2015 April 18, 2015 Luna spends a fair bit of time doing architectural drafting and fashion design, and she also tends the gardens in the wonderland. Elise also enjoys playing sports when it's nice out, so if that's something your tulpa would be interested in it might be worth a try as well. bunny-boi-lover April 18, 2015 Author April 18, 2015 I think topiary and gardening might be a strong suit for Edwin. He seems to enjoy changing and adding vegetation to our wonderland. Earlier today I found him sitting on a lower branch of a tree he'd made to blossom when yesterday all the trees were just plain leaves. But he's too clever for his own good and already knows he's not limited by the physical constraints of reality. If he wanted to he could make it any season, any time of day, etc. I might have to put a cap on our wonderland to make it mimic reality more. I've also brought up the topic to him about making him a pet or a child-like tulpa that he can teach and care for. It would also help him not to be so lonely and bored when I can't give him attention. I can't really picture him getting into any sport, but who knows? He might be a nerd, but he's still physically fit. XD "Jesus Pickles!" ~ Edwin reacting to pretty much every jump scare in a horror movie Avatar was made by me using a base. ReisOtherHalf May 14, 2015 May 14, 2015 unless they resist the urge to instantly create things and go through the act of building and growing things instead You know, what's funny is that our wonderland has never not worked like this; things get built/delivered/whatever far faster than they would in the waking world (like it's only taken them about a week to put in a light rail line* from downtown to where our house is), but things actually have to be created the 'right' way, more often than not - it's a big deal for either of us to just manifest something out of thin air... *I think the fact that we have so many rules from the real world, that Rei has a day job and Tove goes to school, and that the island has to have infrastructure like the light rail, the ferry or the bridges says something about us... More to the topic at hand, Rei does a lot of home maintenance stuff when I'm gone, plus she's taking an online class, and the little one's an avid soccer player. Rei: more than a tulpa-she's a crisis counselor, an art therapist, a dietician, a relationship coach, a team morale expert, an athlete, an adventurer, a hawt wife, an incredible lover, an amazing mom, my best friend.♥ Tove: she's not a little tigress anymore! She's still the go-to gal for soccer advice and creative inspiration, especially monster design and all things cinematic...congrats on your engagement!
arcanemagic May 14, 2015 May 14, 2015 Markus likes bugs. We've got a couple different wonderlands where she can explore and look for new bugs to catch... I don't get it. Bugs are creepy :/ She's giving me a look... They're not creepy. They're cool... :P Markus is the tulpa, and I don't really have anything else to say. Markus speaks in Blue!
