Is IRC still a thing?

I feel like I'm getting on here as everything's sort of fizzling out and the "fad" of tulpamancing has dissipated. I remember IRC was a big things on all sites related to tulpae, but I can't find anything modern about IRC on this forum. Is that still a thing in this community? If so, can someone sort of explain it to me, how I can access it and what I can do there? I don't know if Edwin would be into chatting, but I thought I'd find out about it and if nothing else maybe talk for him.

I prefer forums to IRC though, too much is lost or time sensitive on IRC. But yes, it used to be a big deal. I think a long time ago people sort of split between which they'd rather use, so they're not 200% as interconnected as you'd expect, but it exists.

Yeah dude, the IRC is still a thing. There's around 70 people in the rooms I frequent at any given time. Sometimes it's a little dead, but it usually doesn't take much to get conversation going.

 

There's also the subreddit, which is decently active, given the circumstance.

I think maybe I'll just stick to the forum for now. I'm not really good at the whole social network thing. At this time, this forum is literally the only thing I use to socialize online, and it's not severely active either. But there seem to be some really good people on here, and it's better than going entirely into my wonderland and never coming out again. :I
