My tulpa have been running into a problem recently. They're both sentient and quite vocal, but they both seem to operate based on my personal memory. They have little to no individual memory of their own and have to rely on me to remember details of all of our lives. They can remember some small things, but not much. We've tossed around the idea of training their memory using some sort of memory game, but have yet to really try it out.

Has anyone else had issues like these? Does anyone know any tricks to improve tulpa memory?

Truth be.

Mark-Antony is blue.

Queen Arkay is yellow.

This is a problem we used to have. Maybe not to the degree that you guys do, but it was definitely something I noticed early on. I'd say that you probably don't have to put a ton of time into playing games or training memory if you don't want to. What I did was ask the brain bro to remember things that I needed to remember anyway, whether it be like, a small work related task, or just a chore, or something I needed to do. Stuff like, hey, wanna remind me that it's trash day tomorrow?

Eventually, I started assigning him more complex stuff, but never more than one or two things, and then I noticed that he was starting to remember stuff on his own. Now we're to the point where he's got his cache that's independent enough of mine, where he helps out with shit I don't know (lots of times words that are on the tip of my tongue), but it's not like he's a supercomputer who can spit out any information I might require at any time, type deal.

It worked alright for us, and it wasn't anything that I was even totally aware of at the time, so I figure more awareness of what you're doing with assigning small things to remember might make the process even smoother.

We're all gonna make it brah.

Well, whatever formative memory you have, I'm sure they would be sharing it to some extent. Though, the difference, or a difference you could presume if you wish, is that how they interpret that sense data of the experiential learning. In other words, I guess if you continue to believe in the presumption that part of sentience/sapience/whatever entails being able to make a rationalization over what was generally experienced, over time, they could have a presumed state of qualia that's a bit more varied from yours; maybe further to the point of an implied dichotomy where they can revel in their own private, subjective experience.

If you want them to have memories that are absolved from your formative experience, or even combined efforts for that experience, we would probably be entering a discussion on fabrication of memories; false or seemingly genuine, or something like that. Like some meaning behind their existence that isn't solely linked to those experiences, but that might end up with question begging on the origins of said meaning.

James and I think that you guys might have some luck with better memory recall if they keep diaries and document every day. I used to ask James to write in his journal, and he says he did that from time to time.

Otherwise, I definitely reinforce what Stevie said: give your tulpa a few tasks that will help them remember. That would probably make a good deal of difference.

James: Hello, all!

[i used to rely on my access to my host's memory all the time.I hardly ever bothered to remember anything myself. After a while,I decided enough was enough, and just made a conscious effort to try and remember stuff.]
