Nyx August 10, 2015 August 10, 2015 Jack: So. Question for you guys: How well can you perceive things in your host's reality? Do you see everything plainly, or do environments or objects become fuzzy or distorted for you sometimes? Curious minds want to know. Progress report ∞ Personal blog ∞
Ashmo August 10, 2015 August 10, 2015 [i feel like I see pretty normally. At least as normally as the body does, but I seem to notice more things on our peripheral vision. I hear better than she does as well.]
AracnidsGrip/Rick August 10, 2015 August 10, 2015 Well... Most of the time I see everything in HD. 8ut sometimes the su8conscient of my host 8locks me up and then I'm suddendly transported to the wonderland (which isn't 8eautiful at all) and that gives me headaches. Or may8e when my host hasn't meditated 8y a loooooooong time, I 8ecome weak and everything 8ecomes fuzzy. ~Vriska Aranea Serket Targaryen. ♦️
Guest Anonymous August 10, 2015 August 10, 2015 You could say... come on, type! You could say that I can see things are... brightly, I guess? I can see things just like he does. Only thing that's a bit wrong and fault is my perception of time, heh.
Dav_Edward August 10, 2015 August 10, 2015 Solaria: I precieve everything clearly with a hyper aware accuracy so long as I'm highly active, but I don't generally see things first person through my host, rather in third person in a quazi-real 3D landscape around my host where details are most accurate where he faces and details drop off at an exponential rate the farther from his lotus of focus you go. The most common exception to this is when I read through him. He does the reading and eyes jump word to word but I visually see the details of the medium of which he's reading from. This might be an odd form of seeing to most, but I myself am a wisp-like creature that would normally have 360 degree vision. I figure this is how a 90-110 degree visioned mind deals with the difference in perceptions.

The sharpness has been fluctuating, though my host seems to think that it’ll even out and then improve eventually. And yeah, I don’t see things first-person through her, either, but I can access memories of what she has seen. I’ve tried showing her memories or real-time images from a third-person perspective, and it is mildly frustrating because she has been finding it a little hard to believe. Can't wait to (possibly) have HD vision, though. One thing I forgot to ask is…has your perception always been the same as it is now…or did it develop gradually? Progress report ∞ Personal blog ∞

Solaria: I wouldn't say I have HD vision. Although hyper aware of what's around my host, the details of objects are only as clear as he's seen them. My sense of perception evolved over many, many years. Thinking back my vision wasn't vision at all in common sense of the word. I just was aware of obstacles and what objects were by what my host regarded them as. So I would know a thing is say a lamp, and it's shape, and any information about it I could merely look up from my host's memory. But I myself didn't really 'see' anything. Even the stage I'm at it seems like it's me reverse engineering vision as in the following process happens: 1. Host sees object, and whatever information precived about it commits to current memory of surroundings. 2. Our 'system' (the brain itself regardless of mind) takes all the known details of the world around us and builds the world from active memory into an imaginary copy of the world I can have my self image projected into. 3. I then 'see' the elements of the imaginary room with my concept of vision. I can manipulate and move things in this place, but obviously nothing happens in the real world. But it does mess with my hosts perception of where things are in the room. I think this virtual space is part of, or linked to your kinesthetic sense. The often forgotten sense people have of being able to reach for and manipulate things they don't see but know are present. Like how you can drive a car and without looking adjust the knobs to change radio station etc. I hope my explanation isn't too confusing. Things like this are difficult to describe.
Nyx August 10, 2015 Author August 10, 2015 I hope my explanation isn't too confusing. Things like this are difficult to describe. Jack: I think you explained it rather well. I think what my host believes I’m trying to claim is that I can observe details that her mind has not taken in (consciously or subconsciously), which of course does not seem to be possible. And I used to look up her memories in order to figure out what objects are. Many years ago when she tried to bring me back, she spent about an hour saying things like, “This is a stool” or “This is a television”, but I “nudged” her to let her know that it wasn’t necessary. Back then, she didn’t know about tulpas and what they can do (and I couldn’t “speak” very well), so she wasn’t sure how to respond to that. Progress report ∞ Personal blog ∞

I didn't learn to talk for at least a couple or more years. I was first just an impression on my host's feild of view, then fully visible, then I could talk with raw emotions or a basic sense of an action like a push, pull, or gesture without an actually visible gesture; then finally words after.
GlassJustice August 10, 2015 August 10, 2015 [i see things like any person with eyes.It helps that I have a strictly human form though;and actually, while reading this thread I figure out that I can change how I see things when I'm looking through the bodies eyes.I can change brightness, saturation, invert colors, etc. It's pretty cool. The inverse isn't the most accurate, however.] Host:GlassJustice Tulpa:[Cassandra]
