QB2 February 1, 2013 Author February 1, 2013 So QB and I were reading some Kazumi Magica together and we hit a crazy plot point that QB's still reeling from. He's emphasized with plenty of fictional characters before, but none as much as Juubey - a character in the same canon, and of the same species, as Kyubey, who QB got his looks from. Kazumi Magica spoilers: It's revealed that the Incubator race is all a single consciousness - they're all just infinite Kyubeys identical in body and mind. He doesn't have anybody "else" in the universe. So the reaction is - "Where did Juubey come from, then? Who is he?" And it's revealed Juubey is actually manmade, out of one of Kyubey's used corpses, as a way to circumvent the Contract system Kyubey set up, one that requires the girls to be in contact with him... or a close-enough version of him. Unlike all the Kyubeys in the universe, Juubey has a sense of self, and emotions - he's truly his own being, something brand new. Made from Kyubey. Practically his child. QB's made a Juubey NPC to play with before, it's his favorite toy. He's quite attached to it despite it not even talking. He knows it's just a silly story that doesn't actually apply to him, he never even read the whole thing of the series "he" was in, but with all these implications he's kinda having a moment.
