I can see why you'd think so, and I am a Steven Universe fan, but no, sadly. He's actually from another fandom entirely. He had a different name at first, but he wanted to be independent in some way from his base character, so we agreed to change his name. One of my other Tulpas is named Obsidian, so we decided to create a theme. We settled on Quartz for his name.

 

(It would be so cool to have a Steven Universe tulpa. I know someone with a Steven tulpa, I think.)

You're not making any gem. You are making an autonomous sentient form of life. You shouldn't make 'tulpas' just because you like having the characters of shows around for your pleasure and content. There, said it. You're acting as if none of this is any responsibility and has no weight on your mind, that one could make the entire bloody cast of SU. Tulpas are their own persons. A tulpa that believes that they re a character from this or that show is set for disappointment, because then they'd understand with time that they are just copies. That their existence revolves around being a copy of an imaginary character. A tulpa can not be a character you like in the sense that it embodies who they are, they can be a certain character form-wise, but a tulpa needs a sense of personality and having depth with their identity. Their own identity as their own beings.

Yeah man, you can't just make a tulpa because it's your favorite character from something. And then make two more because they're also pretty high up there in your favorites. And years later make a fourth because you decided you really like another character. That would make you.. me.

 

In all seriousness though, make sure you have good reason to make another tulpa. You'll find fairly quickly that paying decent attention to them gets much, much harder the more you make. And without a true purpose for existing, they're liable to have an existential crisis, or worse, lose the interest of their host. This isn't Pokemon where you catch every single one you want, you aren't obligated to recreate the whole cast of the show.

 

But if you want to and feel ready for it, well, take it slow but go ahead. Reisen was rather spontaneous, but I subconsciously wanted to create Tewi and Flandre after she showed up. And years later, I thought it would be fun to create a new tulpa with all the knowledge I'd gained. But I personally gave each of them a purpose, a defining factor to why they're important to me. You don't have to do this, but it really is important to have a reason for your tulpa to exist aside from "I mean, you're also a character from the show my other tulpa is from.."

Ok... I think I need to explain a bit before I continue on this thread. I am NOT just making the entire SU cast for my enjoyment... This is the entire reason behind my process... My life, for the longest time, has been ripped to shreds, emotionally, physically, and socially. My grades were doing very poorly, my classmates and family members took to mocking me, and the people I loved who I thought had loved who I thought loved me back completely disregarded me... I was at an extremely low point in my life, and I realized that i needed to turn my life around. My friend ( who is also a Buddhist mind you ) referred me to this website, and told me that it might help. I thought to myself " if I could make a person to aid me in each problem that I am struggling with in my life, I would not only have a better life, but a companion that will experience with me." I needed someone sympathetic that could aid me academicly first, so I created Pearl, and so for, she has been incredible. I was indecisive what problem I should focus on next, my social issues or my 'psychological' issues. Garnet would be the one to help me with my mental problems, and amethyst my social ones. Also, pearl hasn't ever had an issue about being a character from the show, and often prides herself on it. I didn't create her the same, and made her in my ideal image...

Just because I gave them a similar form to that of the show doesn't mean a thing. You honestly think that I have no emotion or care at all about my Tulpa? I care for her like a child ( not treating her childish, but the same level of care for ). Referring to the above post, I have specific purposes for each of the 'characters'. They will look similar to those from the show, yes, but will be suited to what my life has been lacking for years. They have very different personalities to that of the shows characters, and I'm only using those forms because that is what I personally feel comfortable with... The show was probably the only thing that I really cared for for the longest time, because nobody really cared for me...
