RaveCrazedDave January 3, 2016 January 3, 2016 I want to get good at visualisation. I'm talking general visualisation, as in seeing with your minds eye, and not just tulpa related visualisation, and I plan on trying to push and see how far I can get. I was wondering if there's a place (a forum for instance), specifically about this topic, where I could get info and advice from others on this. This might be a bit of an odd question, but honestly I don't know how else to put it. Any pointers you can give will be very much appreciated.
Lacquer January 3, 2016 January 3, 2016 Since it's a tulpa-related skill, it'd be fine for you to make a thread about developing visualization skills in Q&A or Gen. Discussion. I'm sure that nobody would be upset if you're asking about tulpa-related skills even if you're not using them for tulpas.
Metatron January 4, 2016 January 4, 2016 Well, as far as I am aware, picturing in your mind's eye is a very integral skill to drawing, or at least drawing from imagination (not surprising, really). So given that, you could practice both of those skills together, and go ask around in an art-related community. Good luck! "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." -Aristotle "When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love." -Marcus Aurelius “Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” -Neil Gaiman "The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried." -Stephen McCranie
Dreamer13 February 11, 2019 February 11, 2019 Look at an image of something you want to visualize and recall it in memory over and over until you can see it. I'm an aspie so it comes naturally. Dreamer&Limme An Aspie System
solarchariot February 11, 2019 February 11, 2019 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain,' Book by Betty Edwards is by far my favorite instructional art book. practicing the exercises might reveal you have more visualization skills than you imagine. We're a visual society, but rarely are we taught skills...
Guest February 11, 2019 February 11, 2019 Visualization improves with practice like any skill, so you can practice with the conveniently placed link in my signature

Guest February 12, 2019 February 12, 2019 With just 20 minutes a day, you too can be riding unicorns who are riding dragons who have cheeseless pizza cooking in their mouths while one of your tulpas tries to synthesize cheese from plastic resins in your friend's microwave. Or if that's too crazy, come with me and you'll see a world of pure imagination.
