Hey guys, I was wondering, what "activities" do you consider the most efficient when you're forcing? What keeps your attention towards your tulpa, what you think helps the most, etc.

For example, we're still pretty new at this, but I've come to the conclusion that reading to Seren usually keeps me thinking about her (I mean I don't lose focus and get distracted because of the book) and I guess it's what works best for us.

On the other hand, we also watch movies and anime, but in those occasions I tend to lose focus easier which leads me to believe it's not that productive.

So, what do you do? What usually is the best thing to do?

(Things like just narrating all day long are also valid, of course).

Keep in mind this is more for begginers who're just getting started at tulpamancy.

Thank you guys!

Currently working on Seren, so that she gets to shut me up frequently.

This is one of the hardest things for me. When I try to focus on any one thing, like my tulpa for forcing, my mind goes all over the place in many tangents.

What I found helps me is drawing my tulpa. But if drawing isn't your gift, I think that mindful/meditative colouring might help your mind focus. It amazes me how much giving my body something to do can force my mind to slow down and do what I want it to. X3

I personally recommend these

Whether it was a shortcut for meditation for me or what, all I know is that these created the biggest spike in Al's development.

We gave up on using different colors for each of us, so there's Al, Ollie, and Eva. We're all rabbits, get over it.

Find something you like doing with your tulpa and just do it.

A wise man once said: 'Before judging a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? He's a mile away, and you've got new shoes.'

Graced are those who could avoid this phenomenon. This is perhaps the worst expression of evil in humanity's history, but who am I to judge?

This. A thousand times.

I know, I know, there's those that prefer doing very specific techniques and all that.

But while Rina and me never needed any sort of development-related forcing stuff, my opinion here comes more from observing the experience reports of forum members...

... and from the simple concept of "You won't lose your patience / motivation for something as quickly when the thing you're doing is fun!". No duh, right?

Not saying more specialized techniques and stuff are a bad thing; it all depends on the individual, and a look around the guides section is always worth it.

In the end, though, the reason I support the quoted statement more than that is that social interaction of any kind supports personal development either way, and one does see many people who speak of losing their patience / motivation - see the previous paragraph.

So, uh, yeah.

That's my two cents.

The generally accepted advice is to do what feels right to you. What helps the most for one person won't necessarily work the same way for another.

Thank you guys! In that case we'll simply do what feels right for us. We'll also be looking at what @IBreakGames and @Drakaina suggested. :)
