woooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.

  • 2 weeks later...

So apparently there IS a god, and he/she/it/they do not want me to have any free time, let alone time for my tulpa.

So I haven't made any progress at all, in fact I think I might have even gone backwards a bit.

Shit sucks.

Random shit just keeps happening. For example, one day, I was all "Just gotta do some yard work, then I'm free for the rest of the day", then my lawnmower decided to just crap out and stop working halfway through mowing the lawn. It's been having problems for years now, but I'll be damned if I scrap it, it's almost thirty years old and belonged to my dad way back when. So then I spent the ENTIRE DAY on a day that I predicted I would finally have free fixing this thing.

It works, but at what cost?

Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.

The lawnmower's just one example, pretty much every day shit has come up to keep me from forcing, drawing, writing music, building shit

Between all the crap that comes up out of nowhere and work, I have no free time anymore

Ban me if I ever mention Telecasters again.

I'm finding that non-lyrical music helps me get into a good state of mind for forcing when I normally couldn't. For example, if I'm doing yard work at my house, I can't force. If I'm doing yard work listening to the Gorillaz or Radiohead or Bombay Bicycle Club or whoever, I can't force. But the other day, I got the album Classics, by Ratatat, and I found that I could force while working and listening to it (For those that don't know, Ratatat is a completely instrumental two man electro-rock band who are fucking awesome, check them out)

So then I went and got my hands on every single instrumental soundtrack, album, and song I could think of. I even started taking the music files from my favorite games, converting them to .wav, and putting them on my iPod to create an enormous playlist composed of all the good instrumental music I could find.

I can now force when I couldn't before.

'course I do, I thought I told you?

So the other day I was trying to think of some good books to get from the library, and for no discernable reason, the Goldan Compass just popped into my head. The last time I read it was so long ago I remember absolutely nothing about it, so I figured why not get it and read it again? So I got it, among a few other unrelated books.

So as I'm reading and getting reintroduced to the concept of dæmons, I started to notice that they're mildly similar to tulpae in certain ways, and now I'm starting to wonder if the author knew about the tulpa phenomenon and got some ideas from that.

Or I'm just overthinking things.
