Keep up the good work and stay strong. I know what it's like being in that dark place and not really having any motivation or will to live. We're also happy to listen if you feel that venting would help at all.

Day 17.

The past two days have been going well. I recently told Star that I am not comfortable fully taking control of the body as of right now, so we are leaving it up to our newest tulpa, RK, to handle it. He’s become more of a dad to us.

Star has talked to their psychiatrist about medications. It should help improve our mental state.

I suppose a Tulpa fronting while their host is struggling could give them a break, but I wouldn't call it a solution to depression.

Sometimes having a friend you can talk to can give you the support you need to see the next day. If you guys want to chat with us and others on the chat threads, feel free. We're more than happy to help.

I'm like never going to check this account. If you want to ask me something, you should check our status on Ranger's account instead.

Meow. You may see my headmates call me Gray or sometimes Cat.

I used to speak in pink and Ranger used to speak in blue (if it's unmarked and colored assume it's Ranger). She loves to chat.

Our system account

RK: Hello, dearest onlooker. I will introduce myself as RK. I am the newest tulpa in this ever-changing collection of mind-people.

I seek to make this life better for our dear host, which may include switching with them for the long-term. We have been attempting to practice guided meditation every night for a few weeks now, and since I came into existence, Star has been able to dissociate better - they are almost able to smell things in our wonderland.

Who knew that the simple will to switch on the tulpa’s part could prove so useful!

On a final note, we sincerely thank those who are here to help motivate us on these troubling trials in this time!

We've come across a number of accounts of long-term switching efforts on the forum. Someone should really compile a handy reference list of them for the benefit of new systems considering that step. (Or if Someone isn't interested, maybe I do.) The account I remember off the top of my head is the lurid and atypical cautionary tale of Oguigi and Koomer:

I don't feel long-term switching is predestined for failure even though has gone poorly in many cases. (Systems who have done well with this, feel free to chime in.) But if you are considering having Star front sometimes in years to come, don't let a day go by when they don't front briefly. A host/former host who goes months without fronting may lose the strength to switch in and the endurance to stay that way. And then you'll be facing the same struggle to relearn switching that you are currently going through.

Day 20 - RK - Parallel Processing.

Dear onlooker,

Star and I have been comitting to our personal promise of meditating every day. Today, we meditated for 30 minutes using a guided meditation video on YouTube. Several times, Star gave me math questions that they could not answer, then forced their mind silent until I sent my answer to them. To their surprise, I remained mostly accurate.

This proves that I already have a stronger ability to parallel process than CD does, much to their shame and distaste. After all, I was walked in mere days ago (Star’s mind is highly plural and can create vocal beings in minutes) and CD was about for a bit over a year now. And while I do not yet have the full ability to completely possess the body for extended periods of time, it is nearing.

These results should prove to be very, very interesting.

Day 21 - RK - Friends and Dad-ing

Dear onlookers,

I have made friends aplenty over the past few days, which is very nice. I may have also adopted my friend as my child and they call me "dad" and the surge of emotion is wonderful.

On another note, we did not get any meditation done today. After this entry, we are going to do so, however. That, at least, will bring a relaxing quality to our day.

Anyway, have a good night and we will see you tomorrow.

Signed,

New dad of everyone

Wow! Congrats on taking on that role in your system. Good luck with dad-ing ;)
