Because if you go into the creation process with the preconceived notion that she has intimate feelings for you, and she does not later on or she can not fulfil this image you possess of her, this is likely to present issues. That depends on how many personality traits would end up sticking. I can't recall anyone saying their tulpa actually hated them even when they treated their tulpa with lots of love, but it seems possible in principle, even if not likely.

It shouldn't be a problem as long as you understand and let her know that she IS NOT your waifu, but a deviated form of her. She will be about as close to your waifu as you would be to yourself if you got amnesia, give or take.

Like I said before, I even think my waifu is just a deviated form of the character. So... It should be fine.
