It was a pretty good movie. Not perfect but a reasonable adaptation. It's Mario, you don't need to reinvent the wheel. Just make the nice shiny reliable wheel that people already expect. I wouldn't mind an open world, Zelda-style game that follows this plot. [Minor spoilers for movie and basically every Mario game ever]

 

 

 

Mario gets Isekai'ed with brother. Mario learns sick moves and gets powerups. BBEG Bowser shows up and starts being a problem. Someone gets captured. Start collecting allies and getting street cred. Big showdown with Bowser and goons. Rescue everyone. Live happily ever after. Until the inevitable sequel. Least original story ever but I think it would serve as an excuse to do a more modern Mario 64. I think it would be cool to go to the different kingdoms, doing challenges and recruiting allies. Basically everything that happened in the movie.

Did some AI art. Got a semi-realistic Jaina. I'll edit post more if I get some really good or interesting improvements.

Very good. We couldn't get anything of value out of AI on our first attempt. Though you managed, ours had annoyingly weird features that Bear simply wouldn't accept.
