glitchthe3rd September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 (or animus for all the laydays out there) So according to Carl Jung, the anima is the female aspect of a man's psyche, and an animus is the male aspect of a woman's psyche. What this effectively means is that an anima/animus understands what it means to be a woman/man, respectively. Now, if you were to bind your anima or animus to a tulpa, they would be able to have a better understanding of the opposite sex than you. I achieved this with Luna. HOWEVER, it was completely accidental, and happened only after prolonged exposure to my unconscious and years of sexual torture. So I have no idea how to safely replicate this with another tulpa, or if it's even possible to bind your anima/animus to multiple tulpae. It might be that we each get only one, and once it's been bound to a tulpa, it's a done deal. What I do know is that this is not automatic, it does take some form of effort (be it conscious or subconscious) to bind an anima to a tulpa. tl;dr ITT we come up with a safe and effective method of binding our animi to our tulpae. Bin September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 That sounds quite silly to "bind" a theoretical core component of your mind to a single entity or agent. I would assume it would be as easy as making a feminine tulpa, thus having a more feminine outlook and select thoughts that may appear feminine. Even if it can't do it perfectly, I would assume it would learn to do it well regardless. Don't forget what's "feminine" is more or less culturally acquired knowledge, so if you're practically a basement dweller your anima might be sort of fucked up. no
Phi September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 Like I said countless times before, I actually do believe that this is automatic. If you are a male making a female tulpa, I believe that the deviation that occurs is due to your anima, as well as the empty gaps in the personality that you didn't touch up on. In a sense, your tulpa is: anima/animus + forced personality = tulpa Picture not mine, but I like it.
Kadoh September 8, 2012 September 8, 2012 I believe they mean Eigengrau, good sir. And Glitch, ten minutes after I made Hash she ripped someone's brain out, and I have some sort of masculinity complex, it seems. It would be interesting to see said animus. *ANIMA Also she pretty much made her own personality. Sorry for triple post. My opinions are all subject to change.

Everything is explained now. Oh well, i'm okay with this. Anyway i kinda agree with Phi on this one (for what my opinion is worth i mean).
Phi September 9, 2012 September 9, 2012 >Didn't force personality If you narrate to her then you do, just not in the classical sense. Personality in humans are effected by both biological and environmental factors. In tulpa that would be what you force and what you converse about After they're imposed, their environmental factors are the same as ours: What they observe around them.

Welp, you're right about that (and now that i think about it - i'm not the best role model ever, yeah? Shit, i wasn't going to ever be anyone's daddy or anything, what have i done). Though i'd also say i see the anima archetype as more of a base/starting point, and the experiences as something that builds on that. Personality deviation may occur only if you try to consciously "force personality", right? It's not like you'd have something to "deviate" from otherwise. So i'd say tulpa = anima + personality forcing that turns into the anima anyway sooner or later + experience. Well, it's only my humble theory based on nothing at all, anyway.
glitchthe3rd September 9, 2012 Author September 9, 2012 It's worth noting that I did try to force my anima on Saria but it didn't take; and yet Luna accepted it readily. Neither of them had anything that could truly be considered narration, and Saria came first, so... yeah, I'm confused. Frosty September 9, 2012 September 9, 2012 I'm kinda doing this with April already, she's pretty much the female version of me, but I'm not far along enough to give any useful input. I'll let you know whether or not I can acheive it when April is complete. Kadoh September 9, 2012 September 9, 2012 Do you guys think Hash is my anima? My opinions are all subject to change.
