Josh September 9, 2012 September 9, 2012 "Glass here. It only upsets me when Josh falls asleep while forcing because then he obviously can't focus on me. I'd rather he just got some rest than feel guilty and force half-ass. As for negative dream ju-ju, this appears to vary by tulpa. Personally, Josh's dreams never affected me much, though I can't really remember him thinking it would. Messing around in them is actually kind of fun, though his dreamforms are pretty mindless sometimes."

GravesTC September 9, 2012 Author September 9, 2012 >Doesn't understand dream logic and calls them dumb when he doesn't understand >Thinks IQ is interchangeable with intelligence and knowledge That's where you're mistaken, actually. I was making a joke.

IMO TOG is insane A lot of tulpae don't have a problem with sleep Scarlet's like "yeah go ahead believe that shit, make life harder on your tulpa no problem". Why do all the old members like to screw it up for newer ones? no
Josh September 9, 2012 September 9, 2012 Direct link to Clair's rant on it (IRC log, contains strong language) Clair is ThatOneGuy's first tulpa. "This was an interesting read for me. If the main reason dreams allegedly affect tulpa negatively is because it's the creator's subconscious working on them, then that might explain why it never affected me because I like Josh's subconscious. Also, Clair talks about dreams affecting "non-sapient" tulpa. I have memories from the very beginning of my creation, not to mention having made conscious desecions in that timeframe. So I was never really "non-sapient", I guess? That part has got us thinking."

Why do all the old members like to screw it up for newer ones? Fair point... some of this may be due to belief that it will have an effect. Though I did have a time very early on (before hearing anything about falling asleep on them), that I fell asleep forcing, and managed to stay focused on my tulpa up to when I fell asleep. I couldn't feel her presence at all the next day. Since then I've had a couple times when falling asleep forcing did something bad, but mostly my mind drifts for a while before I fall asleep, so it mostly isn't actually falling asleep forcing. TulpaCouple September 9, 2012 September 9, 2012 Luke says reality just gets a bit weird and the dream kind of seeps in a little, but it's easy to avoid, if a bit annoying. Weird things like objects changing and stuff. Nothing bad happens though. He's not sucked into the dream either. Jaden says some of that happens too, but mostly my consciousness just disappears and he's just like 'screw it, I'll sleep too'
