How is your wonderland structured?

How is your wonderland structured? 

 

Mine is almost like the floating mountains of Pandora in Avatar, connected by rope bridges. Each floating rock has a specific feature to each tulpa. Like:

 

Char: large open air Roman Bathhouse

Kimiko: modest Chinese hut in the middle of a cherry blossom grove

Precious: A night club 

Joc: not sure, thinking of a biker bar. 

 

and now I'm realizing of all my head mates, I don't have one myself. That is my next quest, my own "space" in wonderland.

Our wonderland is a hot mess. People used to have their own offices, but they haven't been used in awhile and now we have some vacant properties that don't make as much sense. Ryan and Moltosha are exceptions in one sense because they have a castle and a realm respectively, while some of our headmates don't have a personalized piece of wonderland at all. Gray has a little house that is more of a personal space that we aren't really supposed to be in, but he rarely uses it. Right now since we can't wonderland easily due to mental health stuff, we just use a void for now.

Our wonderland is made up of several places that are based on real-life locations. Listed from most to least visited:

• Our main house, which is based on rural Central Jersey.
• Our mountain house, which is based on Appalachian Pennsylvania.
• Our beach house, which is based on the Jersey Shore
• A stone castle, which is based on an unspecific (as of yet) rocky coastline along the North Atlantic.

There are a few other places too but these are the main four where we spend most of our time.

Ours is an island that includes a few different regions. The beach is made of gravel, there's a grassy slope where most of the facilities are situated, a stand of pine trees off to the side of that, and then a large wooded hill behind the other two areas.

We just made a layout of our cabin. We already had the rooms but we didn't fully know how everything connected. Now we know and it feels more vivid.

 

First floor: huge glass wall, recreation room with big bed, dining room, living room with couches and giant TV, kitchen, closets, bathroom, sun room, pool.

 

Second floor: loft, bedrooms, bathroom, more storage

 

The cabin is in the center of our world and our world consists of four quadrants. Each of us roughly get one quadrant but we also share them all. It's not strict.

I like to think of our wonderland as an entire planet that we've only explored a tiny bit of. I initially created a small central location with the intention of expanding it together once Athelas was more vocal. We spend most of our time in that central hub, basically a walled garden centered around a giant tree. We've "discovered" a few more locations by now, but the Hub is still my favorite. Athelas's fave is a spot we call the Cove, a little sheltered area of shoreline with lots of plants and animals.

Mine takes the form of whatever it needs to be at the time. There isn't really any consistency with it. I never saw beauty in having a specific place with specific things attached to it. Not to say I didn't try to keep a wonderland.

 

Usually when I did, it would be a house in the desert.

Ours is a completely white living room, all outlined in black like in a cartoon or comic. There are two couches, one where I sit and one where Kat sits. Down the hall, there are three doors, one leading to a skate park, one leading to a storage closet, and one that we haven’t decided on, so it probably leads to nothing.

Haha, I love that the doors feel completely random. Do you guys skate? For us, our wonderland changes a lot! But the most constant place there is our bedroom :] It's a good place to wind down and rest after a long day. I want to keep things fun, so me and Rutile can really go wherever we want from there! Our wonderland is mostly real life locations reimagined with more comfortable and ideal settings, and usually, Rutile doesn't even stay in the bedroom. He wanders around a lot.
