hakase November 8, 2012 November 8, 2012 I wonder if it might help to get rid of some possible deviation that is happening. Instead of just being an idle passerby and watching these events unfold, why don't you make it clear that Red and Rev are two completely separate and unique tulpae, and will not/ should not be merged into one? It's up to you really, but maybe you should try to make this clearer to them (and to yourself) during your next forcing session. "Give a man a Truth, and he will think for a day. It's up to you really, but maybe you should try to make this clearer to them (and to yourself) during your next forcing session. That was something that I had been thinking a lot about, and they seem to be pretty understanding of them being separate entities, but I definitely will be making it as clear as I possibly can. Might it be a good idea to do activities with them one at a time often? Not all of the time, but certainly often, and I won't refuse the other tulpa if he wishes to join us. I feel like spending alone time with each of them may help them understand that they are separate. ”Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” - Henry Ford
hakase November 8, 2012 November 8, 2012 Yea, the separate activities sounds like it would work well, at least until the three of you are aware without a doubt that your two tulpae are separate, unique individuals. At that point, doing things with all 3 of you would probably be best. Good luck! "Give a man a Truth, and he will think for a day. CyberD November 8, 2012 November 8, 2012 So everything went absolutely wrong, so much for a clean merge. But, it wouldn't be as much fun if everything went smoothly and now we get to learn more. As a result it sounds like you are now stuck with two tulpa. Congratulations. I agree with what everyone else is saying, now that you are not considering anything to do with merging you need to make it clear to the tulpa what they are and what you want from them. Rev needs to feel safe so he won't act out and Red needs some help catching up. I think you need to understand your tulpa a little more. Ask them how they feel. Ask them what they think about each other. Ask them what makes them insecure and ask them what they want help with. Also, find out if they want to force together or separately. If you do force together than ask them how they think it went, find out what works best for you and for them. Finally, since they are both separate you should dedicate some time to finding out what makes them different from each other. Find out exactly where Rev came from and why he mislead you for so long. Good luck, with two tulpa so early you're going to need it :) (Also, as little more than a curiosity you should ask Rev about his name. Especially since Rev used Red's name for a while there. Maybe he would prefer a more unique name?)
Lukenstein3D November 12, 2012 Author November 12, 2012 Alright alright alright. A not-so-purely hypothetical question... What are the supposed dangers/difficulties of having many tulpa? :3 ”Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” - Henry Ford
Lolimancer November 12, 2012 November 12, 2012 Seems like i'm still relatively sane with four. You might not be able to *parallel process* them all if you suddenly decide to cover yourself in tuppers - can't imagine the brain holding too many consciousness if they're all active at the same time -, but yeah. (Long-term side effects of this stuff are still relatively unknown, i guess? That you should have thought about before doing it, though).

Well, it looks like I currently have four, possibly five. It would seem to require very little extra concentration, however I am experiencing significant pressures in the back/base of my skull (something I haven't really experienced too strongly since the earliest days when I first started). (Long-term side effects of this stuff are still relatively unknown, i guess? That you should have thought about before doing it, though). Oh yes, I analyzed any and all perceived risks before dedicating my mind to the tulpa phenomena, but I still figure it's best to inquire anyways, just in case I push myself to far and off a metaphorical cliff or something of the sort. I asked my existing two tulpa (Red and Rev) and they seem to think I can handle these two new guys. ”Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” - Henry Ford
Lukenstein3D November 12, 2012 Author November 12, 2012 UPDATE ON TULPAE: Red decides to change his name to Spark, he turns blue and looks like he's half pony half steampunk robot. He loves to make things and builds Rev a new gun that from its muzzle emits the flaming wrecks of cars :o Turns out this wasn't actually Red at all, but the result of the first merge when Red absorbed Rev, only back. Real Red tells me that he wants me to destroy him, and I exile him from the wonderland, but he comes back a few minutes later. I realize he is depressed and confused because he thinks I don't want him after he's been replaced on two separate occasions, I clear things up and I have 3 tulpa. Then, later, another tulpa (the result of the second merge, when Rev absorbed Red) comes along from no where, thin and blueish-purple, and starts beating Rev and I up, growing larger and more ape-like very quickly. We pacify him, turns out his name is Nedward and he likes to hit things, but also likes to read. Suddenly I have a great big family, but now Spark is downgraded to the status of Red's pet, Nedward is so early in his development that I just let him hang around until I figure out what to do with him. Then this happens.(My posts start at Post: #36) I mean, I know that these two tulpae were accidents and I wasn't going to really keep them about anyways, but I perhaps I should do something...? ”Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” - Henry Ford
CyberD November 12, 2012 November 12, 2012 You probably want to consider slowing down a bit. Other characters can appear while you force or while you're in your wonderland but that doesn't mean they are all tulpa. Set yourself a limit. Stick to it. I can't stress that enough. Other characters may show up and ask to be tulpa or claim to be tulpa. That doesn't mean they are. A tulpa is who you are focused on, who you want to work with. The others are just like other people you meet, you can talk to them but you don't have to get to know them within the context of a tulpa/host relationship. Sometimes they'll come back, other times they won't. If you really want to make one of them a tulpa then by all means, but, the more you divert your focus the more effort it is going to take to maintain your other tulpa (such as Red and Rev.) Enjoy that there are other characters for you and your tulpa to interact with but don't over do it. You should only work on visualization and later imposition (or possession and other fun stuff) with those you truly consider to be your tulpa. Keep the others in your wonderland or dreams. Personally I've only ever met one named character in this manner who wasn't just someone I already know. I met him while I was dreaming. I could have made him into a tulpa but it never really crossed my mind. Just like in real life, you don't have to be friends with everyone. I think I already answered the question, but to put it clearly. The problem with multiple tulpa is the extra effort required to build/maintain them. Imagine it like having two friends in real life. It'll take more work to become friends and it'll make finding time for just one more difficult. As you add more friends... well.

Not every character who comes along has to be a tulpa. Think of them as being like dream characters - they show up and appear to be a tulpa (or just a regular person, in the case of dream characters) but will likely just disappear once they leave (unless, of course, you choose to let them stick around). You don't have to make every random character who shows up into a tulpa. Unless they're persistent and KEEP showing up frequently, it's usually best just to let them go. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t.
