Ok, just a little bit of info at first: I do lucid dreaming, and i have already done a lot of reasearch on the internet regarding LD'ing, prior to finding tulpa.info.

ok, so here it goes:

Last night i was awake to about three in the morning, so i was so tired at school that i almost fell asleep on mutliple occations in one of the lessons(it was just simple math, and i have pretty good controll on fractions anyway), but i was always snapped out of it after a good thirty seconds of unconsciousnes. So then it happened, i was drifting of to sleep again, but then i started ""seeing through my eyelids"". Yes, i know that it is impossible, but its the closest i can come to describing it in one sentence. it was almost the same as a lucid dream, except that it was much more vivid than anything i have ever experienced, and i was in a state close to paralysis(or maybe i was just scared that if i moved i would snap out of it).

i believe that my brain was under the impression that i was having my eyes open, and it knows exactly how the floor and the legs of my desk looks(it was in my ""FOV"" at the time) so it emulated how it looks like, down to some amazing details. i knew for sure that my eyes were closed, because the bag of the girl sitting next to me and every other item that isnt usually there was absent. i was completely aware the whole time, and it was so damn vivid, but i know my eyes were closed.

it has happened before, one time in a bus driving through the country side of germany, and i closed my eyes and started to imagine how it looked outside, and it was so vivid too. i know this isnt dreaming, because it is a (almost) perfect replica of my surroundings, even though the view did deviate in the bus trip(only the outside view changed, i could still "see" the bus window and stuff).

im thinking that this can be used to impose/visualize, i tried to see olaf, but it was in such a awkward angle that all i could see was a grinning olaf lying on the floor staring at me for three seconds before i snapped out.

any thoughts on it? i only ever get this when im really tired and after being awakened a lot of times after falling asleep.

Ayo grill how you be?

It's possible, loads of people have done it. I've done it, it is quite vivid.

It's too unreliable to impose this way. Just because it's more shockingly vivid doesn't make it overall better. It's like taking a car for the first 10 meters of a mile long race then walking, as opposed to (imposing all the time yourself) taking a bicycle the whole way.

why is it unreliable? im thinking that it will help get the brain used to seeing the tupper.

If that's your logic, a hallucinogen would be a better option both for your health and for effectiveness.

It's unreliable because to gain anything out of it you'd have to push yourself into delirium repeatedly. Sleep deprivation is definitely not the best way to do that.

i was recently told in the IRC that you can do this without sleep deprivation, but i have yet to find out how. no drugs for me, i have to do them drug tests ;_;

You have it, except you don't have it. I could say the same of anything I don't have.

Melatonin doesn't seem to help me all that much though.

I can get it from the drugstore. It's cheap and regulated as a dietary supplement rather than a drug here in the U.S. at least. Like $13 for 250 of them.
