Hush November 19, 2012 November 19, 2012 Well, I expect an almost entirely negative response here, but I promised Hex I would at least explore this idea. So, the idea is to create a tulpa with the traits: ambitious, cunning, deciteful, power hungry, ect... To create a villian in my head. Hex basically said she wants a rival to fight against with those traits. Honestly, the idea does appeal to me a bit too. It would certainly provide an interesting situation to say the least. There are some pretty clear problems with the idea, most obviously that my head will be the battleground. less obviously, there are some major moral problems with making a tulpa that will likely need to be disipated. Then there is the problem with even making him be malicious without being an ass to him first. So yeah I promised I would explore the idea dispite the issues with it, so any comments and new ideas would be appreciated.
Pinkamena November 19, 2012 November 19, 2012 I gave pinkamena some negative traits when I made her personality, I even told her she was slightly evil and that she didn't have morals. I really don't recommend it. I've spent a lot of time trying to make her better.
waffles November 19, 2012 November 19, 2012 I'd advise that you didn't create a truly bad tulpa, for the reasons you stated above. It would be dangerous for you, made all the more so by the bad tulpa's knowledge thr it will eventually be dissipated. Deliberately making a malicious tulpa is a really bad idea. Don't do it. If your tulpa wants an adversary then just make another normal tulpa, perhaps with an inclination to roleplay. Alternatively, tell him to stuff it since it's such a bad idea.
moondragon November 19, 2012 November 19, 2012 I think some people do make intentionally malicious tulpas..To deal with their own dark sides and or repressed feelings.
Hush November 19, 2012 Author November 19, 2012 it will eventually be dissipated. I think you misunderstand that fact, I mean to say I would be setting him up to being such a pain that dissipation might be the only option, still it would always be a last resort.
NekoiNemo November 19, 2012 November 19, 2012 Well... Is it really that bad? I mean tulpa that i making right now is chaotic-neutral type (or even chaotic-dark if you replace good-evil with light-dark axis) and i don't see why it is wrong. And i like her like this. Really like. Because "good" is just so-o-o boring... Maybe you should make more "dark"/"anti-hero" type rather than "evil" type tulpa? 現実に抗え!
waffles November 19, 2012 November 19, 2012 I think you misunderstand that fact, I mean to say I would be setting him up to being such a pain that dissipation might be the only option, still it would always be a last resort. So if the tulpa is i too bad then you would dissipate it? That would discourage the tulpa from being too adversarial, wouldn't it?
Pronas November 19, 2012 November 19, 2012 DO NOT MAKE A TRULY EVIL TULPA. you could make this new tulpa learn how to PRETEND to be evil, so she could play with hex. But NEVER make a truly evil tulpa, because apart from just being something cruel, it is not healthy for you.
Hush November 19, 2012 Author November 19, 2012 So if the tulpa is i too bad then you would dissipate it? That would discourage the tulpa from being too adversarial, wouldn't it? If I felt it were a genuine threat to me I would, otherwise I would never.
