Orq9000 May 7, 2012 May 7, 2012 >How do we call the Tulpa host? Tulpamancer Sounds like a magician to me, lol. Sounds like awesome to me! It stays!
FAQ man May 7, 2012 May 7, 2012 To me "host" sounds completely demeaning. Why not just call it a person with a tulpa and leave it at that? Not everything has to have a fancy word for it.
Irish May 7, 2012 May 7, 2012 But tulpamancer sounds cool~ That or we could go full on Stargate SG-1 and call us the Goa'uld
Uguubee May 7, 2012 May 7, 2012 Generally you just refer to the person as 'the individual', in most psychology, so I don't see why we should adopt the '-mancer' suffix from psuedo-magicks.
B_P May 7, 2012 May 7, 2012 That or we could go full on Stargate SG-1 and call us the Goa'uld I'd think of us more as the Tok'ra. Though, both of them still call their hosts 'hosts'.
recansspunners May 7, 2012 Author May 7, 2012 "mancy" does imply magickal traditions and all that, but also speaks "to speak" or "to divine/predict". So I suppose it's fitting as a playful term. I'll add host and tulpamancer; they're by no means obligatory. I should also add "parroting" and "puppeting/puppeteering". ちぇえええええええええええええええええええええええええええええ~ん!
Orq9000 May 7, 2012 May 7, 2012 Nah. Seriously. I think Host is ok for conversation, and tulpamancer for creepy t-shirt. glossary.png ?

Orq9000 May 7, 2012 May 7, 2012 Oh. And Imaginary Friend? I know it's like Servitor, but I think it'll be nice to mention it somehow. Many newcomer will surely use this term.
