Endar December 9, 2012 Author December 9, 2012 There are Russian MLP boards, right? Popularity spreads fast in a community like MLP. People who did browse /mlp/ presumably took the concept to Russian forums. There are very few bronies in Russia, compared to other communities. Tulpa movement was spreaded in non-MLP boards and forums at first, and even now tulpa.ru still officialy not connected with mlp theme. Many people was discussing this phenomenon in many places, but almost only bronies are becoming actual tulpaforcers. And a smaller amount anime fans with them. Another people, who even read through all information, for some reason not intent to aquire a tulpa. I am a very rare exception.

Regardless, the Russian MLP community may well be the only one that has members who are open-minded, but cannot speak English. There may be many Russians on this forum who can speak English, and probably prefer tulpa.info over tulpa.ru because it is far larger. When it comes to tulpa.ru, chances are that the forum doesn't represent the whole Russian tulpa community. Perhaps the only channel by which the concept could enter the Russian-speaking internet was MLP; that is, the concept was brought to the attention of non-English-speaking Russians only via MLP forums. Besides that, the MLP community will inevitably be more likely to make a tulpa upon learning of the concept, for reasons that have been stated above.
Guest Anonymous December 9, 2012 December 9, 2012 I'm going to explain a little about myself. I'm a brony and i have ADHD. I'm currently in senior high school with LOTS of friends and i even plan on doing some acting in the future. For me, brony is just something that describes that i like My little pony - Friendship is magic. I watch the show... and that's it. I feel that many people in this forum (not pointing at anyone in general) is drawing all bronies over the same line. Why did i start with tulpa? At first, I thought that it was just a cool thing i wanted to try (Like Lucid Dreaming), but i later discovered that i was developing a new friend for life. For me, tulpa is not an act of escapism, but rather developing a new friend. Someone you'll like for life, like your best friend.
Endar December 9, 2012 Author December 9, 2012 I must tell you - you're so very wrong... You are overestimating knowledge of English of our people. There are not more than 10% of people who able to communicate on it even at such poor level like me. And even when they can, it is hard and not so fast and simple, as in russian. Everypony, sorry for what i'm about to say... MLP is like a disease - you interact with brony and if you're open-minded and have some amount of free time... 'gratz - you contacted disease. I don't think so. To infect, you need to have a "wound" in you soul. I have seen all MLP, just "for science", to understand phenomenon, and I am not fall over for it even a little. Ponies are not cute for me, and I don't want anything related with them. Just not mine theme. Maybe I am more violent person, who needs some evil to balance than pinky happiness (just look on my drawing of my tulpa's face on avatar or tumblr). You know... That's no completely a joke... =_= I know ;)
Guest Anonymous December 9, 2012 December 9, 2012 Is a pokemon tulpa considered anime or cartoon? I would say Anime
PsychedelicDiamond December 9, 2012 December 9, 2012 Is a pokemon tulpa considered anime or cartoon? I'd go with videogame character. On topic: I'm a Brony and yes, i found out about tulpas on /mlp/. Not making a pony tuloa though. Being a fan of My little Pony was never a lifestyle thing for me, you know?
Guest ThunderClap December 9, 2012 December 9, 2012 I'd go with videogame character. Pokemon has a TV show as well, though.
Guest Anonymous December 9, 2012 December 9, 2012 I don't watch anime, did watch MLP. VS was based off Vinyl Scratch, Lucy was based off a real person, Helix is based off hentai character Zone Tan, Pixel is OC with inspiration from media I've watched, and Solace's form is based off the webcomic Homestuck.
