mogwaimon April 23, 2013 April 23, 2013 Well, if I recall correctly, from what I read David-Neel also got tired of the friar after like 3 months and began to try and actively get rid of him. Plus she didn't have the same relationship with the friar as our community tends to have with our tulpas. Of course the friar went bad, being conceived of as an experiment and ended up being discarded like trash just because he kept popping up everywhere. More on-topic...I have an old friend actually, and when I revealed to her that I was creating tulpa and she found out what tulpa were, she told me that she had similar thoughtforms growing up. I won't reveal the personal details here as it's off-topic and sort of private, but one thing she mentioned that was of particular interest to me was that when her first thoughtform was in the room at the same time that her best friend was, the best friend always seemed to know where the tulpa was in the room, although she couldn't actively see it. As a skeptic I think perhaps the friend was picking up on subtle cues from my friend and deducing the location based on that, considering they'd known each other for years...but I desperately want to believe that my friend's story is true.
Merman April 23, 2013 Author April 23, 2013 The only thing I can think of is to just bring your tulpa with you everywhere you go and maybe someone will mention seeing it? The more it's hanging around the better chance of it being seen, assuming it works that way. My Progress Report
Aarix April 25, 2013 April 25, 2013 Nice job referring to a work of fiction. The person you were describing was Alexandra David-Neel, who traveled to Tibet and created a monk tulpa that followed her around. Eventually, the monk was revealed to be chaotic evil and she had to absorb it back into herself. Needless to say, the story is tentative at best and complete fiction at its worst. I for one do not believe that tulpas can physically manifest themselves, and I doubt I would ever be proved wrong since they are so rare to start with (though I would love it if it was real). I never really believed it too be real. Like the Phillip experiment, so pretty much its impossible and any claims are easy to pass off as fake as hell unless you see it with your own eyes. I would do anything for my tulpa to manifest into reality, but tulpas themselves seem to good to be true. So I'll keep on working on my own perception. Merman April 25, 2013 Author April 25, 2013 I don't really trust too much of what I read, so I'm gonna have to form my own opinions and record my own observations on my developing tulpa as I go along. See where it goes from there, and sort of test what others have said regarding their respective tulpas. As for manifestation in the physical world, we will just have to see. My Progress Report
