QB2 January 22, 2013 January 22, 2013 Only if you can hear them. Their senses are limited to your senses plus what they can construct from memory. They aren't magic. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
waffles January 22, 2013 January 22, 2013 First off, imposition doesn't make a difference. Imposition is all about you seeing them, and does not allow them to act in the real world. Tulpas can act on sensory information that you yourself receive, but cannot pick up information by themselves. This means that if your conversation is out of your own hearing range, your tulpa can't hear it, regardless of whether you see them there. Your tulpa might 'hear' something of the conversation, but it would only be what you or your tulpa expect of it, and not what's actually happening.
Wrath January 22, 2013 January 22, 2013 They don't exist in the physical world (aside from being a collection of brain cells in your head), so no, not unless you can hear it.
Guest EnnervateIndustries January 22, 2013 January 22, 2013 Yes. It only requires that they can concentrate on something you aren't, which (as was said by others) does not require imposition. I expect it would be pretty tricky for new tulpae as it is.

Yes, if you are paying attention to something else, then your tulpa could be paying attention to the conversation, and be able to tell you about it. But that's only if, as the others said, the conversation is within your hearing range. Basically, the idea is pretty preposterous, because if you wanted to know what they were saying, you may as well just listen yourself. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Forge January 23, 2013 January 23, 2013 this would be more of a metaphysical question. as multiple people have stated before, in the psychological aspect, they could only hear them if you could hear them. With another mind tool, which i think they call parallel processing, it might be a possibility. if you werent paying attention, but subconsciously heard what they said as they were in earshot, then the tulpa should be able to tell you what they said via manipulation of the subconscious. as for the metaphysical side of this question, you would want to look into something along the lines of clairvoyance or remote viewing, which would be similar in concept, which you could potentially teach a tulpa.
DDDowney January 23, 2013 January 23, 2013 We haven't gotten imposition yet, but we switch. The answer is yes, but if your tulpa can eavesdrop.. so can you. ~Rayne Ask Rayne Storm Tumblr DDDowney's Lets Play Channel
